Oh man. I've been 4 times in Seoul and I eat this stuff at least once per day in Myeongdong. All food in Korea is incredible and extremely clean. And imo and for what I've tasted they use top quality ingredients.
For those who are talking about the sugar - it's hotly debated here as well, although the 'original' Korean corn dogs have sugar. It does go well, but I don't like it either. This hotdog place is about 10 mins from my house and they offer (even in delivery) a menu which you can choose either the sugared or non sugared version and can choose your sauce too

It looks very original junk food, orderly, appealing to the eye, I am surprised you can't find this in New York or London, it would sell really well in my country. I thought the last layer was fine salt.
