India has this weird law for compulsory +12 science background to become a pilot which is not at all mandatory in any other countries. Due to this reason I managed to get my CPL license from Indonesia since I was from a commerce background and as of now I am currently piloting an A350 wide body aircraft. Indian students who are from non science background please do not loose hope. You can still become a pilot by going abroad.
Happy to know alot about aviation from this podcast😊 and very much impressed by ragav (pilot) for giving up his time irrespective of the subscribers count on this channel keeping aside his pride and prejudice. All the best bro for your channel (discover with singh) and looking for more podcats from you.. bring someone from merchant navy
Discipline, ability to follow rules and regulations, respect for law and order, english language skills, people skills and yes, crisis management at times are all vital elements of the person in the cockpit.

@@discoverwsingh aviation related maths & physics is completely different from what they teach in class 12. They do teach everything in ground classes. 10th maths & physics is still fine
@@jaibhardwaj4886you don’t need kinematics, electromagnetism, mechanics, calculus in aviation? That’s strange cuz its about knowledge if companies reduced criteria most of the degrees won’t be even required to take.
To add further to this, you don't need to pay for your type rating if you are in a cadet pilot program with an airline that will pay for your training. They might bond you to commit for a couple or few years.

30:16 again wrong after busiest I have seen 28k ft as well but for most FULL ROUTE on a narrow body jet, it is what he said. For short routes it is 20k-25kft for narrow bodies. Turbo props don't cross 20k most of the time and stay at FL160. Wide bodies especially A350 and DL787 go beyond FL400 upto FL450. A350 between DEL-BLR mostly is FL430. To become a pilot: You can opt as a conventional option and another one is a cadet option. As I can see this pilot is telling about conventional option, in which you have to clear your exams and you earn your CPL first then you apply for interviews in the airline job as a pilot, so its a little cheaper to get cpl and job. But it takes time for induction. But In cadet pilot, students get a job assurance before starting their training journey with an airline, for that there are particular requirements and exams, interviews that you need to clear with the airline. And for now only Indigo and air india provides this opportunity. ☺️

Absolutely. As per DGCA, there’s no age limit. Glad you asked! Proud of your thought process already.
But what are the chances of getting a job in an airline after training completion given the age factor is it advisable to start now.🤔
