My beloved Shish brothers. There is something special about them, it warms my heart and your videos captured my attention. I know lions do not live forever, but the brightness of the world will dim at the loss of this coalition. I just read an article about bovine Tuberculosis in KNP and am devastated to know that nearly half of Kruger's lion population is likely affected. I will pray that Casper and Footloose stay uninfected, as well as the rest of the Satara pride. Thank you, Africa Adventures, for this important, albeit sad, update. I never thought these magnificent brothers would be taken out by an insidious disease. I will take solace in the fact that Mfowethu, Footloose, Casanova and Casper lived wild...and their legacy will live on in our hearts.
Makes me happy to see them reunited for probably one of their last weeks together... Makes me crying to see these beautiful animals infected and dying due to bovine tb ... Makes me angry the science and biologists are doing nothing or so little to treat this disease... This is so so very sad. I can’t watch anymore as it’s too upsetting. So sad that nothing can be done to help them.. I was hoping to see Casper in April when I visit the Kruger. holy smokes the disproportionate muscles on Casanova's back legs after he turns from the camera, his right side is about half the size of the left side. BTB makes them waste away =(. On a side note, has Casper just kept getting hurt? or is he still hurt from some battle or accident I seem to remember from months and months ago? Hopefully the Satara lionesses are able to keep any cubs/subadults alive long enough before some other group of males moves in. Gotta spread them genes around.
This alliance and many other are very lucky because they are in a area that don’t have many powerful alliance and they I mean you have some but they haven’t been challenged by a powerful alliance or they didn’t challenge non.one of them was the mayambula and they were inexperienced but now they are in another level and that area is peaceful too many lion in Kruger have that life which is good for the cubs.
This has nothing to do with lions living a short life mate , this is about the Authorities not doing their job years ago to prevent bovine disease spreading when they should have..now it's widespread across a large population of the damn cattle that infect the buffaloes that these beautiful predators feed off ...if this continues the wild lion population will be wiped out..... I've said for a long time that a vaccine needs to be found to vaccinate all pockets of lion prides living in close proximity to infected herds.....it's impossible to vaccinate large herds of stock but completely feasible to test and vaccinate the small number of wild lions in a given area ....it will be too late within a few years....The famous naturalists, The Colbert's, state that for every pride male that is killed b4 it's time, up to 6 cubs will die ...it ....was on a BBC Doco....

Not to be confrontation but since when did Kruger start testing live lions for tb bovine? Most if not all lions have the disease which doesn't become noticeable till they are immuno compromised. Also, when did Kruger start treating lions for this disease? There is no treatment for any wildlife currently for bovine tb from my understanding. The park removed Casper to aid his health .then mapogo lions went and viewed him n he looked better than ever , but was in a strange area .we now know the park moved him for his health to a santuary .but while being viewed by the mapogos casper was steady searchinf and calling for his brothers .this. Park found Casper died two days later from natural causes .this natural cause was a broken heart .we have lost Casper and this would suggest the park is manipulating this coalition.for help to little to late and he was crushed knowing he'd been separated from his brothers.

This is so so very sad. I can’t watch anymore as it’s too upsetting. So sad that nothing can be done to help them.. I was hoping to see Casper in April when I visit the Kruger. Essas regras retrogradas devem ser reavaliadas, não é possível que nos dias de hoje nada possa ser feito, até pelo perigo dessa doença se espalhar pelo continente e infectar outras coalizões e até pessoas. holy smokes the disproportionate muscles on Casanova's back legs after he turns from the camera, his right side is about half the size of the left side. BTB makes them waste away =(.

This alliance and many other are very lucky because they are in a area that don’t have many powerful alliance and they I mean you have some but they haven’t been challenged by a powerful alliance or they didn’t challenge non.one of them was the mayambula and they were inexperienced but now they are in another level and that area is peaceful too many lion in Kruger have that life which is good for the cubs.

This has nothing to do with lions living a short life mate , this is about the Authorities not doing their job years ago to prevent bovine disease spreading when they should have..now it's widespread across a large population of the damn cattle that infect the buffaloes that these beautiful predators feed off ...if this continues the wild lion population will be wiped out..... I've said for a long time that a vaccine needs to be found to vaccinate all pockets of lion prides living in close proximity to infected herds.....it's impossible to vaccinate large herds of stock but completely feasible to test and vaccinate the small number of wild lions in a given area ....it will be too late within a few years....The famous naturalists, The Colbert's, state that for every pride male that is killed b4 it's time, up to 6 cubs will die ...it

Not to be confrontation but since when did Kruger start testing live lions for tb bovine? Most if not all lions have the disease which doesn't become noticeable till they are immuno compromised. Also, when did Kruger start treating lions for this disease? There is no treatment for any wildlife currently for bovine tb from my understanding. They can treat them and they should seeing tb was introduced by cattle into the park. Therefore human caused.

The park removed Casper to aid his health .then mapogo lions went and viewed him n he looked better than ever , but was in a strange area .we now know the park moved him for his health to a santuary .but while being viewed by the mapogos casper was steady searchinf and calling for his brothers .this. Park found Casper died two days later from natural causes .this natural cause was a broken heart .we have lost Casper and this would suggest the park is manipulating this coalition.for help to little to late and he was crushed knowing he'd been separated from his brothers.
