Great trail system up there most of the trail is paved so Roadies ,Comfort Bikes ,Mt. Bikes etc.....the campsites along the trail are nice also pack your water and snacks .....Happy Trails
Is this the actual Allegheny River & Samuel Justus Trail route? It seems like a lot of street riding. I was planning to ride from Emlenton to Oil City.
This trail in completely paved and there are some share the road areas the closer you get to Oil City but they are well marked. I took as short site seeing tour of a small park but the trail actually goes through Oil City connecting to another trail on the other side of town. Visit avta-trails.org for details.
Once you leave Emlenton there are 2 long dark paved tunnels just ahead, take a bright bike light 600 lumens or stronger. I've posted my ride through the tunnels on MY RUclips CHANNEL. This is really a great trip. Have fun.
