I am taking my cybersecurity classes online and they literally do not scratch the surface.... You are the reason I'm at 4.0 right now. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY DEGREE
Thanks for the video Eli! I can see clearly why someone would want to go with a Type 2 ESXi. I may have missed this,- what would be the pros for turning to a Type 1, assuming you have a SAN set up, understand that a management service like vSphere are necessary, etc.?
If your physical machine goes down and you have a few different virtual servers, what happens to them? You say they can be moved to another machine but where is the data stored. Is it stored on the virtual machine companies server?
Good explanation overall. In your example however you still have to licence the guest OS operating system, as well as ESXI/vsphere. Alternatively, in the enterprise, purchase MS Windows Datacenter licence which covers you for Windows clustering and unlimited guest Windows OS's. I've deployed both vmware and winodws hyperv clusters at managed by VMM at enterprise level - Vmware wins every time on functionality - MS Hyper/VMM wins on cost though
Please please touch on Telco Cloud! I work for Nok- ...a rather large Telecom ...from Finland. Would love to hear your deep dive onto the Telco side of things
Thanks a lot, sir for this introduction to virtualization. Please I do have a question. How do you resolve a problem where your virtual box failed to open a session for the virtual machine ubuntu? See detailed explanation below' Not in a hypervisor partition (HVP=0) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE). VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED). Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: ConsoleWrap Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}
You should do some online courses about it and play around with AWS. I'm now a cloud engineer at a bank and I did not have a computer science or IT background. But I spent many hours after work in my previous job learning.
@@issie874 I started with CS50X and CS50W on EdX. That really boosted my computer science/IT knowledge. I'm now doing the AWS solutions architect course on Udemy
Thank you Eli... I've been looking into cloud virtualization and what it takes to become an admin of cloud virtualization servers and working in that environment. I've learned an invaluable knowledge of what it involves and currently, I'm preparing to take the A+ certification and afterward the path will take me towards Network+ and Security+. After completing the three, I plan to either pursue the ccna or cloud+ certification. Eli, can you provide us with a video of what you as a professional that has worked in the field for years, could suggest the path towards the certifications you would recommend? Thanks in advance.
Ran into that situation this weekend , if you use enterprise hardware and you aren't a dumbass , you transfer the drives to the server you had in storage and turn it on ... Viola !!! It's silly to try and hook a client up with some gaming machine you built in your basement , like I've seen microsoft clowns do multiple times ... hardware back-ups are just as important as data backups for business continuity ..
I honestly mean this, dude, you are my hero! I took a class at my local community college and those guys were jokes! You are the real deal!
pro tip : watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies these days.
@Finley Maxwell yea, been watching on flixzone} for since december myself :)

Amazing , your creative facility of simplifying complexity and explaining it in a neutral way is bang on mate .. top lad !
So I see lots of 5 minute videos and think "hmm that's fast!" yet this one is 29 minutes but gives this amazing knowledge that no other video does.
Thanks man. The world needs more of like you
Holy goodies. This virtualization thing is really interesting.
Thanks for the vid.👍
Fascinating stuff, as always, thanks man. 👍🏼
eli, thank you for providing such an informative video! it really clears lots of confusion!
Awesome! Eli. Thanks for another piece of knowledge.
Nicely presented and explained..thanks
Thankyou Eli, great video, very informative
Thanks Eli for such a video.

I am confused with Microsoft Power Platform liscencing. Also not sure the difference between storing data on SQL Database or CDS

Can we install Mac OS virtual machine in my host Windows 10 ?
Can you do virtual machine and remote to them ? And if so would you be able to use the usb like if its a real computer. ?
Yes you can do it over the RDP protocol on port 3389
Great explanation.
What are your thoughts on KVM vs Xen in the enterprise space?
Proxmox
Cool video!

is it wise to try and get into cloud computing withiout a degree in computer science or no IT background. please advice

What about Proxmox?
shezaam @ !!!
Please talk about compilation from source
Is it vsphere or vcenter?
vcenter is part of vSphere...
if the CPU fan fails... the magical statement
