I met my wife back in 2007 and she never watched wrestling, but had seen The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold etc. I was watching one day and right away she noticed The Miz and said she knew him because he was a jerk on The Real World.
From this clip, I see that The Miz is really charismatic and is able to appeal to people who may or may not be into wrestling. I understand why the pops in the crowd were limited because... well... wrestling is a niche. Beside all that, The Miz was making pops for his charisma, storytelling, and comedy. Given the right management, he might be the next big movie star outside of WWE after Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, and Dave Bautista.
What I admired about the miz as a former heel, is that he has an insane level of charisma in doing things that no superstar in the low tier has ever done. My personal favorite heel. and damn proud of him and maryse.
Miz is one of the guys i hated back in the days. Just like chris jericho back in the early 2000s. But after 10 years in the company he works hard everytime i have nothing but respect for this guy. Wish him well!!

The Miz id going to go down as ond of the greatest. From his first gimmick, to now, I never would have thought he would have impacted wrestling the way he has. I believe he came to wrestling from the show "tough enough" and looked like a scrub with a mohawk, but he has transcended his career and honestly made something big of himself that other younger guys can look up to. He's like a new generation Rick Rude/Scott Hall. If you don't remember him by his wrestling, then you at least can't deny he has awrsome ring presense and cuts some pretty great promos. Dude is a money-maker for sure.
He definitely is one of the best if not the best all around wrestlers in the business. And what I mean hes not necessarily the performing during a match but he definitely definitely better the alot, and can do it all, the mic skills, when he has a character you can tell he puts 110% into and you can tell he loves it. It all came so natural too. I like him face or heel.
