The SCHF26 is my favorite of the three. It is a blade that can do all the camp and emergency chores that I can think of. Great finish and scales. I'm in!
I really like Schrade knives. They are affordable, tough, and very user friendly.I've owned many Schrade knives over the years.Currently,my favourites in the bush are the SCHF9,and the Schrade Bolo.I would love to win the SCHF26 to partner with my above mentioned fav's.It looks like it would handle any bushcraft task you could throw at it.Way to go Schrade! You keep on producing winners.
I would like the SCHF26. my youngest son and I are spending a lot of time in the woods together, and this would be a great bush knife to teach him the skills to help him survive, and thrive in a woods environment.
I love this knife, after watching this video I was encouraged to get a re-curve knife so I got this blade. I love the finish, it stays sharp and its light to carry. I encourage anyone to get it, for the price compared to Gerber, it is far better for a lot less, and I own many Gerber knives!.
I would love to get my hands on the SCHF26. She is a beautiful piece of work. From the grip to the tip of the blade. Definate beast, would be great to have in a number of situations, all the way to daily carry. Fishing, hunting, hiking. I would take her with me everywhere! Thank you for all you do!
That SCHF26 is really nice! As much as I like a tanto style, I prefer the shape of the recurve in the 26 bc it has a smoother, more flowing, easy transition coming off of the recurve. It made the battoning in the video seem very simple and the recurve design adds to the overall strength added to the blade. It helps to serve, almost, as an extension of the hand and wrist. Greater overall power for cutting cordage and other such activities. They all look great. I'm glad to have found my way to your knives. There are so many knife makers out there but your thoughtful designs and attention to detail have set you apart. Keep up the nice work!
I want the SCHF11, it would be the perfect blade to add to my survival and hunting gear, because I don't have one yet I've used recurve blades that friends own and I love the way it cuts like a serrated blade but a hell of alot smoother.
Schrade knives hold up. I like the SCHF26 what a great blade can be used for everything outdoors. I have trouble with sharping blades so thank you for tips will put them to use.
SCHF26 but any of them would be a great addition. I love the quality and thickness of the blade. They look like very good knives. Thanks for the chance.
I think the SCHF26 is just the right size for whatever comes up in you're day. The recurve makes it nice for skinning, making fire starting material, and for that moment when it's you or the beast.
Another fantastic how-to video with some essential safety tips as well. Also, I think the SCHF12 is a must-have knife because of its delicious curves and strong point on the modified tanto. Looks like an all-around great knife.
Great video! Any great knife is not has useful if it is not maintained properly! For me I would choose the SCHF26 because I have several mid size knives and still need a larger blade in my collection!
SCHF12 is my favorite. The sharpening rod is a great tip and I think I should get one. I have always used a stone at an angle but I'd like to have both options depending on the knife...
Thanks, this was awesome, you helped me quite a bit, I have always shied away from owning a recurve because of thinking it was too difficult to keep sharp with a good edge! Would love to win!
I will take the Schf12. I like the medium size and the ergonomics of the handle. I also think it will make a great edc for a good utility blade since I dont like folders for edc. I also like the finish and its a Schrade! Its meant to be dependable!
I really would love to get my hands on a recurve bladed knife. I've been trying to find a really nice one and from what everyone I've talked to has told me these are beautiful and they are great to handle. My preference is the SCHF12. I'd like to get my hand on one to see if they are as nice as I've been told.
I would love to win the SCHF12. I just love the look of the Tanto!! I do not own any tanto fixed blades and this one just jumps out at me. First i wanted to say the SCHF26 but i have always wanted a fixed blade tanto for personal protection and everything else i can think to throw at the SCHF12!!! Thanks Schrade for all the Give A Ways!!!
Helpful video and getting ready to watch the rest of the "how to do". I knew about the rods, but still good because many don't know. I would love the SCHF26 please - I tend to like the belly of the clip / spear point instead of the tanto, but gladly enjoy a tanto as well. Thanks!
Thanks for a good presentation on how to sharpen that style of knife
