I like fusion and bands that are "different" to things I've heard in the past (Skindred, Twelve Foot Ninja, etc), I was on the fence about DGD originally but this was the song that hooked me
Props, man! It’s very hard to find such solid, precise dgd guitar covers! Keep up the good work, this video really helped me better understand the techniques used to correctly learn/play this song
could you do a video of either what plugins you use, tones, pedals, etc to get a sound similar to DGD? if it helps, all i have at the moment is an ibanez axion rgd61alms with the archetype Gojira plugin. Havent been able to splurge on fx plugins or pedals unfortunately. if you could either do a video or just reply to my comment.. you would be a huge life saver and a massive legend mate
Hey. For this video in particular I purely used my Laney IRT Studio Rack you can see behind me. No pedals, no plug-ins. A little bit of compression post recording, that's about it 👍 these days I use Archetype Plini, again no pedals or extra plug-ins. My advice is spend time working on understanding and creating the tones you want with the equipment you own 🙂
@@Mikerisms holy crap that was fast.. you are a freaking LEGEND and yea I get you, I've messed around with different settings and some were pretty decent but I jumped from a 100w line 6 to now archetype.. quite the adjustment lol 😂 appreciate everything man
I noticed that the tabs are different notes from what you're playing. Could you make some tabs for this song based on how you're playing it? I've been practicing this song for at least 2 months but it sounds really off on my guitar.
I would combust if you covered Blue Dream..

Almost 20k subs. Should be 20 million.

Excellent for being your first. And now you pump out DGD covers like it's nobody's business, Mike. I appreciate your work, good sir!

Alain Lobato It's an Eb Major 7 and an F Major 7 if that helps!
6 on A - 7 on G and 8 on B. Then move up two frets for the next one.

His face at 1:40 omg
This is so sick but the fact that you keep switching between Will Swan's and Zac Garren's parts it's really disorienting
TUTORIAL please :'v
tutorial man
So it’s mostly just power?
No, mostly octaves haha, sometimes you do add the perfect fifth and the third, but its mostly octaves
Good stuff man. You should do some Hail the Sun! Another really good band right there. Cheers!
Cheers man. Check back through my other videos, I've covered Disappearing Syndrome by Hail The Sun. One of my favourites.
TUTORIAL please :'v
