Enjoy your videos. You are so very Real in your ways and attitude. I find myself smiling and thinking how your videos would make a great drinking game. Shot everytime you say "Okay"
Oh, Rinska!! It's so beautiful that it brings tears to my eyes. So warm and inviting and peaceful too. Really breathtaking. I could look at it for hours and be in total peace. Just stunning!!!❤
The pink colors are so vibrent. I love them, but the blue is pretty too. I would have kept it, but you know more than me. This last one with the black pillow is my faviorite
Totally agreed with you about the first one and I LOVE when artists as amazing as you actually show "mistakes" or things that don't go as planned. It makes me feel so much better about mine! Sometimes I get so frustrated when I have an idea I'm sure will be amazing and it flops...total bummer, but painting is a process...from beginning to end...and sometimes u just have to keep going. And if ur not happy, start over 🤷♀️ All that happened was a lesson learned 😆😊 Anyway. thanks for the great channel! Love ur enthusiasm and energy 😊
Ok, so first thing, I cannot get my eyes off of that portrait you have hanging in the background. I assume this is your art? I'm in love!! And of course, this tutorial was super great, and I lovin the Amsterdam. Tell your hubby, thumbs up on the tie!
Lisa, you are such a talented and humble artist to watch. And your personality is so fun -I wish you were my friend. Keep up the videos. I learn so much and have a great time. 😀
I actually love them all but I think my face is your last two and probably my very first one is your last one with the triform black they're all beautiful. Like always your art is always so pleasing to the eye and gorgeous. Thanks for sharing this video I ran in to see what Amsterdam paints I have unfortunately there's a couple I don't have on this ballot here the last one bummer. 🤔😊😍😍
Great video! Love the fun and chemistry between you and hubby ❤️. Glad you scraped the pink…with the black and your compositioning, getting a cool 70’s vibe ❤️
I'm not mad one bit, the darker base makes the pinks show up and just pop. I really like the round bloom that resembles a flower but that bloom line is kicking but. Both blooms are stunning as always. Hope your event turned out well.
Oh, Elliot does do suits. My husband could wear them too. I usually don’t see why you scrape some but yes, I am glad you did this time. Each one got better. I would not have put those pinks together but I was surprised how well they worked. I am not a pink girl but we always end up using all colours. I will always be cool colours. If the ocean has it I love it but we also have a bright pink lake in Australia and it looks strange but pretty right next to an aqua ocean with white sand in between. Look it up on RUclips. Love these! ❤️
Firstly, I’m happy you scraped the first one. I don’t know why, but the pinks seemed to look better in the vine composition, not the bloom. I actually love both pieces Lisa. By the way, tell Elliott, he looks very handsome in a suit ♥️🙏♥️💐💐💐
Oh my, Lisa, I learned so much. #1 You like your paint as thick as I do. So glad you redid the pinks. Looked much better as vine on the black. Of course, it was not obvious how much better the Expert was but might be because I just bought a truck load of regular Amsterdam. Love that Deep Gold. Thank you for sharing ❣️
Another very interesting video! Love the palettes you have used! Amsterdam paints are so great! I work with them and never desapointed me! Thanks to share LISA!
Love this video. Thanks for sharing this info and your experiment with these paints. I LOVE Amsterdam paints and just ordered a bunch of the 500ml size. And, I have to chuckle just a little bit when I heard you say you just got a new scale and you're going to do a measurement video. BECAUSE... I watched Kanella's Video #500 with you and her mixing for the bloom. The 2 of you made a fun and very informative video. I know I'm going to start saying "bloop" just because it's in my head now!! Ha ha haaa. Again... thanks so much. You are awesome. 🥰
Thank you Lisa, for this 'expert' class ❣️ I found out my creditcard bounced and stopped the Patreon account. I hope you don't mind and want to thank you for your lessons, they were great ❤️
Hi Lisa, love your work and love the colours, but, I do have a problem though. I don't understand, or know the rules, on how to use opaque and transparent paints together, nor how to use them with pigment powders😳. For instance, can you use tube paints (mixed with floetrol) with powder pigments (mixed with deep base and Jo Sonja), or, do all the tube paints have to be made with deep base and Jo Sonja too? I'm new to this and I'm confused🤯. ALL GOOD, I found all your video links. Thank you. Love and hugs from, Gina Mac of Queensland, Australia. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺🐨🎨
So for other pours that aren’t blooms, where people are using flowtrol, for the piggies, they use a clear pm like liquitex :) here is a vid about opaque and transparent :) ruclips.net/video/FsjiR2ocAos/видео.html
Different pigments in the greenish blue and the indanthrene blue. Indanthrene is PB60 and greenish blue is the two phthalo’s if memory serves me right, which is PG7 and PB15…….just looked, yes, but Phthalo blue is first then phthalo green. I do love indanthrene blue. Also called, (same pigment), as Anthraquinone blue………like for the Golden Brand.
I really enjoyed this video. I was wondering if you could do the bloom with paint other the pigs. I looked on fluid co and didn’t see any Amsterdam paints. Weird!
@Lisa Marvin Art ßo how do u get yr amsterdam paints if they're only in the USA.. won't they mail them up here. I kmow that there's sum companies that will not ship to canada
Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing. You mean we’re actually going to weigh the bloops? 😂 Looking forward to it. I’m confused about the color to go. Did you use the Glidden Essentials because you were out of the white color to go?
I would love to have that description of Amsterdam tube acrylics with differences in print or a virtual copy. Do you know where I might ask for that? And thank you for this. Awesome. Blue’s my favorite color, but I do love most of the colors of the rainbow. Thank you again Lisa.
Amsterdam Expert vs. Standard - what's the deal? Hello fellow artists! I saw this topic come up a few times in this group, so I will explain in a little more detail, what the differences are. This applies to all of our color ranges, whether it's Amsterdam or Rembrandt Oils vs Van Gogh Oils. Both levels are highly lightfast across all pigments, and will last over 100 years in museum conditions without fading. Many of the pigments are the exact same, however some are exclusive to only the professional ranges, such as cadmium and cobalt colors. Pigment load - Expert has the maximum pigment load we can make the paint with, given the amount of binder needed to hold the pigment in the suspension. It depends on the pigment, but on average, there's about 20% more pigment in Expert. Body - We use a thickening agent to increase the body of Amsterdam Expert. Grind time - We grind the pigments extra fine on Expert and fine on Standard. This has an effect on the handling of the paint, but more importantly, the tinting strength of the paint. It may be slightly different in the Fluid art world, but for traditional painting, this is a key difference that artists know and select an "artist" quality paint on some of the basic colors used for underpainting or pigments like Phthalo, which are so strong to begin with and a "professional grade" on pigments they will be mixing on upper layers, or that they really need to pop with the most amount of chroma. Exclusive pigments - In our Professional ranges, there are multiple series, designating the pigment price, since some of these, such as Cobalt Violet, Manganese, Cadmium and Cobalt are literally as expensive as gold. With "Artist" ranges, we generally create hues, or alternative pigment mixes to achieve these colors. I hope this helps explain or demystify this for you! More can be found on our websites as well - or if you follow Royal Talens North America on social @royaltalensna, Jeff Olson, our Art Education Director explains these things and more all of the time in videos and demonstrations online - it's a great way to scratch that art geek itch. :) www.amsterdam-acrylics.com/ www.royaltalens.com/en/
@@lisamarvinart OMG, thank you. I didn’t expect you to write it out. Again, thank you so much. Now all I have to do is figure out how to copy and paste this. Or just save the reply. Hmmmmmmm, I do know how to copy and paste, but I don’t get that option here. I’ll figure it out.
When you say opaque and transparent would it state it on the tubes or how would you know the difference? I know that may be a stupid question but kind of new at doing this. Love watching your videos and all the beautiful work you do. 😊
Hi Lisa, where do you live. Your pronunciation of mauve makes be think somewhere in Canada…. Toronto? Is there a distributor for Aussie floetrol in Canada?
I need your phone number so I could tell you not to scrape. I liked the pink one. They are all beautiful. As usual and I'm excited to try the expert amsterdam. I thought they would be too thick.
I do not understand why people are SO fixated on "blooms?" I don't like them, they are not pretty, and too much work! I will stick to pouring, with out silicone or "extras"
we sit thru watching & listen to you blabing & yacking away thru your videos for you 2 only give us a quick flash of the finished product...ŵhich I think is hardly fair...being yr work is so beautiful....but u really should let us enjoy the finished product for a much longer time....& dare I say." in silence " please!! very nice work tho..this one is àbsolutley stunning!
That's a little rude and uncalled for. If you have an issue with someone talking mute the video. If you want to see the artwork in slow motion, use the time functions RUclips provides in the settings. These longer style videos are not about the finished art product and are for educational purposes, so the 'blabbing and yacking' may be so to you but to others that's how they learn. Have a little respect for the artist.
I was soooo mad when you scraped the pink one but then….. shut the front door!!! GORGEOUS
