    These videos are so addictive, and I think I understand why; Because it shows what we, as people, are meant to naturally do. The desire to watch, and then rewatch them stems from this.
    Awesome job as always, Matt.Keep it up!

      "... meant to naturally do" i find that comment funny.. bringing a car full with non natural stuff into nature. Dont get me wrong i like his videos but this comment is silly.

      @brentcanfield8883 9 месяцев назад +8

      @@owi2k7 no, it's not silly;you're just not comprehending what I said accurately.Your reply is silly.
      The point is, he sets a great example to people in general. He's saying get OUT there and actually experience life.Don't just stay inside the house all the time and let your life rot away-Which is obviously what I was referencing when I said his videos show what we're "meant to naturally do."
      "Bringing a car with non natural stuff" is irrelevant; the point is to get OUT there and just experience nature any way you can.
      I mean, what would you rather him do-Only use sticks and parts of vines to make fishing gear as well, so he doesn't bring "non natural stuff" when he does these videos? C'mon son.

I've been there, after a day of slogging your guts out finding food and being able to sit back and take it all in. There is no better feeling and you captured that beautifully. The times I did it wasn't by choice, 2 to 4 days in the bush on a search mission (SES) with nothing but rope, a knife and an emergency can of spam. There's a neat little trick with garlic you can do. Finely chop it, get it in a pile and add salt to the pile. Then take the flat of your knife to the pile crush it down slightly and drag the knife across the chopping board, do this a few times and you'll have a nice paste. Works a treat.

    Ever had the spine of a Catfish stab you in the hand? I have. Imagine the pad of your palm under your thumb being penetrated about and inch and a half and the fish hanging from your hand before the pain sets in and then ripping it out also before the pain set in.... The sound of the tearing will always stick with me to till i die... Imagine Velcro ripping, that's a pretty close comparison 🤕 Oh and the pain, "she'll be right" kinda pain

    Great vid mate. I've been throwing a castnet for years and the under the arm and over the shoulder plus the pinkie finger trick are going to be getting a run. I noticed a scale on the hook point of the first livie you put out. I've lost fish to this before as it stops the hook from biting properly and makes it easily fall out. Hopefully we'll get another vid or 10 of this trip.
