I really like your channel, keep up the good work! Do you have an Idea why sitting on a hard surface like the wooden chair in this video causes back pain much faster in the lumbar region (even when sitting with a flat back) compared to sitting on a soft surface like a couch? I always wanted to know but I never found an answer.
Thank you for the compliment, Oleg :) !! The 2 ideas I have on this are - you can’t really stay on the sitting bones if the seat is too hard (metal, wood, stone). Therefore, the flat back may be more an impression than a reality... after just a few minutes you start having micro-movements to reduce pressure on the bones. Furthermore, all the tissues tend to contract as a protective reaction, which can cause pain; - the direct pressure on the soft tissues is bigger and that can trigger pain. The piriformis is particularly sensitive to this, and many osteopaths describe is as an often underestimated cause of lower back pain. I have a quite popular video on this: ruclips.net/video/PHXmQ8Pt0Nc/видео.html Does it make sense?
Nice video Man really liked it, i think that my back has some problems because whenever i wake up in the morning even though i try to stay flat i keep on slouching and i noticed that my head is forward compared to my chest and i cant hold it in a backwards position im 17 what are your suggestions?
Hey man, thanks for you message! My suggestion is two-fold: - resolve all the causes of forward head posture as I explain in this video: ruclips.net/video/hdJ1H--uQnI/видео.html. In particular, try and stay away from small screens (e.g., your phone ;) ) - train your mid-back muscles twice a day doing this follow-along exercise routine that I published exactly for the problem that you have: ruclips.net/video/UitiV6V5dNo/видео.html Makes sense?
Thanks for your simple and clear explanation.
Very good explanations, thank you very much! Now is clear what is flat back 🙏🏽
Thank you! It's important to understand that we're not talking a back that looks like a plank indeed :)
