A lot of people don’t realize that the ptb chase music was the alarm sirens going off in the ship in the original alien movie which made the chase a lot more intense and nostalgia. Wish they would have at least turned down the alarm sound a bit a kept it in the game.

Agreed. It needed more than just the Self-destruct sequence alert of the Nostromo. But PTB is better than the new because the new can be used for any Killer...quite literally. While the Nostromo alarm is truly ALIEN.

Ya know it's a shame they don't make the levels more unique for these killers too. For example they could have still did this on a ship or fuck it keep it as the crashed ship. When all the generators (or goes down to the last person) just retheme the end game to be the self destruction sequence starting. Then they gotta rush to the exit to get out before it explodes. Add the sirens and flashing lights and a count down to make it more anxiety ridden.
I enjoy waiting in the lobby unable to find survivors to play with. We have had enough of the blatant favoritism towards killers. Myself and many other survivors aren’t playing DBD until they revert these horrific changes.

@@diogopereira1475 Seriously? Has anyone been scared of DBD since 2016? You could say the same thing of Wesker or Blight's themes, both considered the best chase musics. Aliens is an action/horro/scifi film, and arguably the best of the franchise by any measure. This was a fantastic change.

PTB chase music was simply the best, it was so intense and urgent, pressing the survivor on edge all the time. But no devs had to make a boring version and replace it. Such a shame.

The PTB was quirky but it was very distinctly Alien. This new one feels a bit too generic and a bit more reminiscent of Aliens perhaps but I feel that’s the wrong movie you want to take reference from in a horror game. The ambience of it is just severely toned down and reliant more on raw orchestra once the chase begins.

The further meters of the PTB were far superior and even the chase music was very good with the idea of the usage of the Nostromo’s alarms. It’s just the window cleaner sound that they needed to tweak. There was no need to completely overhaul everything.

Actually....Both seems good for the Alien. The PTB music can be used for the default alien chase theme while the current one can be used for the Alien Queen legendary skin.

Would have loved a tweak rather than a remake, I loved the terror radius music as it was, the only real issue being the chase loop. It was 2 seconds long and it had a literal headache inducing siren. It had elements of score that was used in the movies, it just very clearly wasn't thought out in terms of long use. It could have been a different type of alarm, or perhaps they could have pitched it down and slowed it, as I do think it's important to have that element of the theme in. The whole chase loop as well could have done with some extending, show it some presence like the resident evil killers got. The Alien is already so good in terms of how it was adapted, but I think it falls short in the chase music.

What I mean by replicate stranger? Things is because they lost their licence for stranger things and the alien has a skin that looks alot like demi and the tunnel is similar to the upside down world
PTB's variant had much more interesting stinger sounds throughout it, it's a shame they changed it. Stings like that indicate terror, much like Michael Myer's chase theme or as another example of a game deep rooted in terror, Space Beast Terror Fright (unfortunately without examples, no music has been uploaded). New one lacks that kind of terror reminiscent of Alien.
I do wish they implemented the Nostromo alarm from the trailer. This one sounds more like Alien vs Predator (2010 game) battle music but its vetter than the original (which wasnt that bad but it was too abstract).
I wish they didn't remove the alarm entirely. I loved that gritty drill sound of the original chase music, it gave the track such a unique composition that really inspired dread. This one is... fine, but not strong enough for such a good franchise represented so well.
