Janek regarding your spiciness warning for the Indian vindaloo dishes, I must say that Vindaloo is just a junior compared to Phall, which is on a much higher spiciness level. And Phall was also available on the same menu of Shahi Indian restaurant which you've shown on this video. Personally I ate Vindaloo hundreds of times all over the world and it has just the right heat level for me :)

+1 for Shahi Indian ! Really cosy restaurant and the owner is super sweet. Food is amazingly flavorful and appropriately spiced (if you're an Indian, you can ask the owner to make it "Indian" spicy and he'll gladly do that). Would recommend the vegetable samosa, the chicken biryani and the karhai chicken/paneer

Jídlovice looks great! It is close where I spent many holidays as a child at my grandparents living at the corner of V.P. Čkalova and Dejvická. In fact their ashes remain in de columbarium of the chruch right at the start of the video (hard to recognize as a church). In May we stay a long weekend just around the corner so we will certainly have a lunch over there. Thank you so much for this advice.

Great list that I will share with family when they arrive in June! I would like to add a great place if you like schnitzel or řizek in Czech: Řizek od Babičky in Karlin on Karlinske Namesti between Sokolovska and Křižikova. Homemade schnitzel and fresh potato salad. They have pork, chicken, turkey, and veal schnitzel as well as smaženy syr (fried cheese) all for between 4.70 - 6.28 euros and the potato salad is only .79 euros. It's a very small place, only seating about 8 - 12 people at 3 tables, and they're only open from 10 am - 4 pm M-th (2pm on Fridays). So expect to get the food as take-away. But, be aware, I don't remember if they take credit cards, and they don't speak English so be prepared to use Google Translate.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Prague is called "Nominanza". Excellent food and service, and very reasonable prices. Go to tram stop Olšanské náměstí in the Žižkov area, and walk up the entrance to the Hotel Olšanka Congress Center complex. Nominanza is immediately to your left. From the same tram stop, climb the (steep!) Kubelíkova past the Albert grocery store with “Bezovka” in large white letters on the side to the Palác Akropolis. You’ll find U Mariánského Obrazu restaurant and bar on the opposite corner of Fibichova. Wonderful Czech food at surprisingly low prices! Mostly locals there, and a few tourists who know where to go.

But i ageee its good. 👍 If you are Stammgast in your original italian Restaurant at the Corner, you would not so surprised by Lasagneria. In the end another german word in czech... štamgast (cz)= Stammgast (dt). Štamgast/ Stammgast i a kind of a regular guest, that comes often to the same place. Esp in Bavaria Stammgast have their own Beer Mug . 👍

Years ago I went to a restaurant in Prague on the 2nd floor of a square. The restaurant was also part of a very expensive foodwares store. It was where all the politicians and bigwigs went, and super-expensive.
So, I went at lunch. Saved a lot of money and had one of the most memorable meals of my life.
They brought put a huge white truffle, weighed it with white-gloved hands, and then shaved it into the soup until I said to stop. Then they weighed it again, and on my bill the soup was charged by truffle weight. I have no idea what truffle weighs…
It was one of those ‘if you had to ask, you couldn’t afford it’ kind of splurges, so I indulged a little. 😊
Definitely worth the stupendous price. Wish I could remember the name of the place.

about the Indian food, i think the main reason why vindaloo hurts and ppl need to be warned is cos its actually Indian meal, a recipe from the OG India( there may be some other influences, obviously, colonisation and trade happens), and chicken tikka masala is safe and fave among Europeans cos is genuine British meal, first cooked in postwar UK, not in colonial India, but created not so long ago by Indian immigrants to suit tastes of their British customers.
Chicken tikka masala is just as traditionally Indian as trdelnik or medovnik are traditionally Czech just FYI.

The pind is also a great Indian restaurant. I used to go there all the time when wanting Indian food. It's in Korunni, Vinohrady. Their Butter chicken is fantastic. But also, don't fall into the trap of ordering the same thing every time. Indian food is very diverse, and lots of great dishes to choose from.

The Pind is OK. It's improved. And I eat there a lot. They tend to do their own reviews though which is possibly (not necessarily) this comment - so to see it here may be ironic. I'm interested in Shahi as my spice level is WAY above yours and they have a Phall on the menu. The Pind don't.

Hello Janek, it's a pleasure to talk to you! My name is William and I'm from Costa Rica, Central America. I will be visiting your city next week on Monday, the 22nd, but only for a few hours. I will arrive at night after 9pm and leave at 1am due to my budget constraints. I would appreciate any recommendations you may have for things to do during my short stay. Thank you very much!

Even though you clarified on this video that you don’t film your episodes chronologically, how you can eat so much food in one day?(LOL) or you use the same clothes to simulate that everything is filmed the same day? Please let me know , we’re so intrigued here at home!! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!
Note: We call you both at home LOLEK A BOLEK, but with all our heart full of love and a lot of respect!

After being in Cz several times and seeing almost all of your vids (and subscribing on 2nd account too), I always wonder how is Czech Republic so similar to Estonia in so many ways, yet with completely different history, language and everything. The people, their mindset and the "day to day" life as well. Even though you're slavic and we're just mutts.

For Indian food you should also try to review Sangam, a bit pricy but top notch meals at the same time their daily menus are quite affordable.
Due to Janik awards I am gonna try Shahi Indian :D

I have been to Las Adelitas (Americka);only once. Couldn't try neither the food nor the beverages because I couldn't order anything. Maybe the staff was already done with this business day, Idk. Was very disappointing, though.

Chicken Tikka Masala isn't actually Indian, it came from the UK as an easy to handle curry for western pallets.
