The fact that convicts were allowed to stop for one last drink gave rise to two sayings that are still popular today. "One for the road", and also "on the wagon". The later being due to the fact that once you were back on the wagon ... no more alcohol! I believe the Tottenham pub in Oxford Street was one of the more frequent stopping-off points.

Since you like to cover the more bizarre aspects of history, have you thought of doing a video about Holland's Leaguer?
This was a notorious fortified brothel in 17th century Southwark which boasted its own moat and drawbridge and which King's army laid siege to (yes really).
The story of how Bess Holland and her girls fought back was the subject of satirical books, a song and a play at the time which tell the story with great humour and irony.
    Check it out!

Here is a great video idea. When the USSR wanted to keep importing Pepsi into its territory but the previous deal of exchanging pepsi for vodka outpaced itself. In 1989, Pepsico was given a fleet of 17 diesel submarines, a cruiser, a frigate and a destroyer as compensation for over a billion servings of pepsi. This was because pepsi couldn’t be paid in the Russian rubble because it was worthless outside of the USSR. The deal made Pepsico the 7th largest naval power in the world for a brief time.

For most of history executions were performed on innocents, scape goats, some guilty, and political threats, and godless atheist heathens like I.
Now, death penalty repealed, the surely guilty who rape n murder children or prostitutes or they’re family....
    A life sentence,
