I loved Saturday morning cartoons. With my big bowl of Coco Puffs along with my brothers and sister it was good times. We all loved Hong Kong Phooey, Scooby Doo, Captain Cave Man and the Smurfs, Strawberry Short Cake and Looney Tunes. What we really liked was anything superhero or battle action. The Superfriends, Thunder, He-Man, Thundercats, GI Joe, Visionaries, Transformers, MASK, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk, Spider Woman, Tarzan and the Super 7, Batman and the Super Seven, Battle of the Planets, Duck-tales, etc. It was a great time to be a 70s and 80s kid.👍🏾🇺🇸🇺🇸
I was a kid in the 70s and this brought back lots of warm memories. Saturday morning found me up early plopped in front of the tv. I loved Thundarr so much. After it Id watch The Herculoids.
Ah...the memories are strong with this one! I absolutely lived for Saturday morning cartoons, back in the day. Absolutely loved growing up in the '70s and '80s.
Growing up in the early/mid 70's was a fun time watching Saturday morning cartoons,....it was an event at the end of every summer/first Saturday of September to see the new upcoming season of cartoons,.....*memories*.
And the one with the bike animated wonder wheels .the krofts were mid Saturday morning here. H-n-R puff stuff , Sigmund and the sea monsters and of course land of the lost
Never could get into Gilligan's island..You got a professor that can make a working radio out of coconuts but can't figure out how to fix that boat and get them off the island
I love Filmation's Ghostbusters cartoon series, watched it every day after school on WGN when we got cable, man it feels like forever ago..found the series on dvd a few years ago and quickly ordered it, but I never knew about the live action series til just a couple of years ago
Thats wild that Bruce Banner and Betty Ross and Duke and Scarlett were played by the same actors, 2 of my favorite cartoons....its a small world sometimes lol
Thank You for the Compilation! I wish there had been a Speed Buggy Vs Wonderbug, or a Team-Up of the two. Maybe You can edit of each episodes to make it happen. Maybe have Hong Kong Phooey driving Jazz? You're awesome at these things!!
Hong Kong Phooey's real name was Penrod Pooch, Penry for short. "HKP" was my favorite cartoon as a kid. I bought the DVD and there was a "warning" sticker on it... (Just w0ke BS.) Penry would cause problems for Sgt. Flint, but I don't know if it was intentional or not. Pretending to be clumsy so Flint doesn't figure out he's HKP makes sense, but let's face it... He's clumsy when he is HKP fighting crime.

@@jessejohnson3.24 Did you ever watch Johnny Bravo or that show about the super genius kid? I forgot the name. It was the kid with glasses and the annoying sister that had the super computer in the basement. That show cracked me up.
Walter Willison, who played Calvin Campbell, is an actor and singer. Richard Rodgers (yes, the Rodgers and Hammerstein Richard Rodgers) thought so highly of him that he wrote a song for him to sing! By the way, another actor had the same name had to take a different stage name---Bruce Willis!
Hanna Barbera made a few cartoons based on tv sitcoms The Flintstones - The Honeymooners The Barkleys - All In The Family Help! It's The Hair Bear Bunch - Hogan's Heros
Question; there was a saturday morning show that wasn't a cartoon that I am trying to find. I just have an image of it in my head. I was kind of disco-ish and there was a white lady that wore glitter make-up with maybe a shoulder length hair. I search occasionally but never can find. I am thinking it must have been between 1975 to 1978. Thanks.
so what you're saying is Hong Kong phooey and his car was actual was like the original inspector gadget and gadget mobile it was was actually Penny and Brain that caught the bad guys
I always wondered the same thing, but my guess is that since Tina Louise wasn't doing the voice of Ginger they wanted her to look different to avoid any issues with the actress.
Tvcrazyman, I have a memory of a cartoon show that featured a small 'Indian' tribe that had been kicked off their land by the railway. Do you know what it was called?
The only cartoon about a Indian tribe I remember is the Go Go Gophers that appeared on the Underdog Show. Was it a 60's or 70's cartoon? Was it a funny or serious cartoon?
@@tvcrazyman I think it was a 70's cartoon. It was funny. It was (from memory) mostly about a frontier town with a railway line, but the natives often got off their reservation and embarrassed them.
I wonder if anybody remembers that the name of the hero in the Shazam ans Isis hour is NOT SHAZAM! Shazam is the name of the wizard who gave Billy Batson his powers. The real, original name of the hero is Captain Marvel, the world's mightiest mortal who has the power of Shazam.
How can you talk about Spot being a cat with stripes? 😊 And there's only one voice for Hong Kong Phooey any one other than Scatman just doesn't work never ever ever!

I appreciate it!

Yep, I remember looking forward to seeing the cartoon reviews they made, and I could hardly sleep waiting for the brand new cartoons that Saturday.
....and... a new cartoon-season brought new toy-collectables inside your favorite cereal-box.
So identified with Captain Caveman! Loved Thundar also! Best cartoon intro of all time!
How bout a live action Thundar movie? With today's CGI why not
such great memories of these cartoons, thank you for the great details and info did bring back some good memories
Glad you enjoyed it
😊❤ Amazing shows I wish I got to see them on my television and this got me excited!

If I'm lucky, heaven will be me as a little kid watching Saturday morning cartoons and big-time wrestling at noon.😊😊😊I can only pray.
Mel Blanc also did the voice of Twiki the robot in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
Jonathan Harris played Dr. Smith in Lost in Space. He also voiced Lucifer in the original Battlestar Galactica
I never realized he voiced Lucifer, the conniving IL series Cylon. By your command...
That last show listed should had never been crea t ed. What a waste of money that was. To hell with galactica
A Hong Phooey movie with Eddie Murphy would have been so cool.
There's another interested point. In the 1982 Hulk's animated series, Banner have blue eyes instead of brown.
Lenny Weinrib was the voice of Hunk and Prince Lotor on Voltron, and he voiced Scrappy Doo occasionally.
Hong Kong phooey I love that show and I was growing up as a kid. Yes I thought the first name was Henry
I was born in 1983 Hong Kong fuie was still on sir

I sure miss the old Saturday morning cartoons. And I, too, thought the name of Phooey's alter ego was Henry.
Thanks, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Penry not henry
Loved the Ruby Spears Superman series. They did a guest episode with Wonder Woman but I was always hoping for Batman Cameo.
Scatman came in with the comet, and went out with it.
The live action TV show n the cartoon "Emergency" the also had a coloring book of it

I loved singing the theme song as a kid. When they were little I used to recite old cartoons from the Boomerang channel for my kids. 😆

Joe E Ross of car 54 played his officer. He also was one of two spaceman of Its About Time.

Alan Oppenheimer also voiced Skelator! 💀

The Prankster look like Jerry Stiller.

Yes, I do. I got them off of ebay a while back. The Spider-Man is a little choppy, but it's watchable.

Fred Welker does not voice Scooby-Doo. I think that Don Messick does the voice of Scooby-Doo.
Welker has done the voice of Scooby for a while now. Messick did Scooby's voice originally, but he passed away years ago.
