The way Benicio’s face goes from pure satisfaction from catching his prey, to full on rage as he’s unloading the gun in the guy’s face, thinking about his family. Incredible acting.

You know why he fired his gun that way?
Well if you remember early on in the movie they discussed about making the hit look like a cartel hit which usually are very sloppy. He couldn't give direct shots like a professional soldier/hitman will do. Which is why this scene is so damn brilliant and well thought out.

Not just that, but you can see the pure anger and rage in his face as he unloaded too. Not only did it make it look more like a mob hit, but he somewhat thoroughly enjoyed unloading into the lawer of one of the enemy cartels that in a way was responsible for his family's demise.

But normally a Cartel ambush is more like "run-gun-run", but this guys did it so slow no rush at all very efficient. This just shows how highly trained they are and their confidence that they wont get in trouble because someone stronger than Cartels (US government) is backing em up fully.
