    My '70 Datsun B210 had an air pump as well. I used to temporarily detach it to fill my inflatable boat. Worked great.

      A lot of manufacturers used air injection pumps. My '73 IH Scout II had one.

    Struggling to imagine how GM could claim adding a two-way catalyst would dramatically improve fuel economy, considering that cat delete is a tried and true way of reducing fuel consumption.
