- This video is a hands-on watch-me-work session where I show you how I use the Shape Builder tool to color and edit my drawings and create spot illustrations. It's a game-changer for flexibility - you can easily edit both strokes and fills and apply color with the Shape Builder.
The Illustration style is up to you - you can use clean, uniform strokes or add textured linework with brushes or vectorized drawings. In this demonstration, I show varied ways of styling your illustration. The versatility of vector art is why I love working in Adobe Illustrator! I drew most of these illustrations using Illustrator on the iPad - check out my iPad tutorials for more.

Thank you! Cheers!
My computer setup currently is Windows 11. Can I use an IPad with a pen tool without having to buy a Mac? What would you recommend?
Thank you for such an informative video!
Adobe Illustrator runs on Windows, you don't need a Mac, but check out the system requirements here: helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements.html#ai-on-the-desktop
I am on Illustrator 24 Beta, but I was just noticing that my tool bar does not have nearly as many tools as yours does? Should I do an update or are there apps that I am missing?
I am using the Advanced toolbar (Window > Toolbars >Advanced), and I also use the Astute Graphics plugins, so there are tools showing from those plugins.
im taking illustrator 2 at campus... would you say that someone needs to be good at drawing for the kind of success and ease you have??????
Drawing is one of my most used skills, so spending time developing it is important. Best of luck to you!!
