Tethering is wonderful, just drive the peg in all the way so the animals can't hurt themselves. 4:54 the cow and the chicken are really cute. Blessings from Canada.
Cowboys were tethering and picketing horses many long years ago. They moved around a lot and when the prairies were open, no one was going to put up fencing and nothing to tie to.. no trees.
I know this is from last year but I'm buying my first beef Cow and this is how I'm going to be doing it. So your video was really nice to see. I only have about a acre to use. I have a pen but would like him outside as much as I can so I'm hoping this works well for me. Thank you
Each to there own but one acre wont last long. You will be buying all your feed. I have 43 acres here in the midwest and only have 4 cows. I let the land support them. I just dont see how people are doing it on one acre.
This is very common practice in India where homestead properties are very few acres. Right next to the pasture/ranging area is usually some kind of cash crops or vegetables so you don't want the cow to eat the main income source of the homestead. Also tethering is very economical.
Try to inter seed some Chicory, It competes with my Bahia pretty good but you have to feed it a little nitrogen and don't let the animals graze to the ground. It handles low PH well.

You told us about it but not how to do it.
For that you need to graduate from university or take special classes.
