I got new glasses last summer. I thought round glasses would be better for golf, and clear plastic frames would match better with all colors of clothing. The ONLY round, clear frames in the shop were Ralph Lauren Polo, and wouldn't you know, I'm watching RUclips and the same frames are being worn by... Mark Crossfield!!! 🤣🤣🤣
After a couple of recent OMP videos, I feel like we need a mini documentary on his life and his time playing golf! Clearly an interesting man that we all feel the impact of, would be good to know more about the legend!
@@GolfMates know do like a vlog with OMP like from the football channel fourfore and ask golfmates for some questions they like and maybe you and Mr Barlow's interview him
I want to play Kington ........ But my home course West Monmouthshire Golf Club is officially recognised by the Guiness Book of Records as the Highest Golf Club in the UK
I have played this course every year for 25 years... i played it in the storm that hit new Orleans 20 odd years ago that then hit the 🇬🇧.. Also played it on a still 25 degree wind free day and everything in between..😊 the 2d video doesn't do it justice... its stunning 😊😊. In kington atm and playing kington gc tomorrow. (12 guys playing for the claret jet). The 18 is a dream hole .(we play nearest the pin in 2). I've hit the green many times from the tee but you have to hit it 40 yards left from the tee. The greenkeepers deserve so much respect as the greens are always fabulous... definitely walk. First 3 holes go up, then you play on a plateau then last 6 holes are downhill. 😊😊
Kington's my favourite course in the country. Pal of mine (and father of my God-sons) is a member there, and whenever I go to see them I always try to make an excuse to take my clubs with me. So many great holes, so many great views. Amazing greens (and the local knowledge is that all putts break towards Kington village!) Love love love it. I couldn't name a favourite hole, there are too many!
"C'm here, there's more!" was Jimmy Cricket (he of the L-R wellies). 'I want to play Kington'. What a terrific course, wonderful views and such a good looking place! When you play on your own, I love how you bring us all along with you. And you did well to go round 6 holes in level par, with a nice birdie on the extra hole.! Cheers.
i wanna play kington, so glad you found this place, we used to play here with our golf society & it was the most popular venue of our members. also liam, just got back from west cliffs & praia d/el rey thanks for finding these courses , had a week @ the marriot hotel . top class & highly recomended. cheers bill.
I want to play Kington. Sat here recovering from surgery, the one thing i look forward to is my fill of Golf Mates content. Just love the hidden gems series and especially courses within a decent journey time. Kington is certainly one of those courses and now on my list to visit. Great stuff Liam, keep up the fine work 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
I have played Kington Golf Club many times. The Club where I am a member has an exchange trip with Kington GC every year. Just to correct you, Kington is the highest golf course in England, but the highest golf course in the UK is West Monmouthshire in Brynmawr, South Wales (which is also well worth a visit). £25 is great value for money, for what is a very enjoyable course (and challenging when the wind blows). Plus, the views are absolutely spectacular
I want to play Kington. Another great vid, like you say it's nice to just get out on your own and not only enjoy the golf but enjoy the surroundings. Keep up the good work.
What a lovely course. A Welsh mate plays there occasionally and has told me about it. Now I know why he rates it so highly. I think I’ll need to head west, because I want to play Kington.
Ok I wanna play Kington for the views, even though it's another lynxie course with no tree's,,,,just loads of bumps, yes another one Liam 😊😊😊 get South, get Woodland, you played it well for all that.
I played there three days ago. The weather was terrible, the course closed in the morning and so windy several flags had been removed from the greens. I think I was the only person on the course. The humps and hollows take a lot of getting used to. All that said it was enjoyable If you play to your handicap you have done very well.
What an utterly stunning course that is... I am lucky enough to live near Bentham, Windermere, Kirkby Lonsdale and Carus green golf courses, so I know what stunning scenery looks like.. Just beautiful.. Love watching you play Liam.. Funny as Hell.. In a good way. "I wanna play Kington"
Great video Liam we travel from the Midlands and cut through Kington never realised there was a course there cheers! Take a look a Llandrindod wales views are amazing and what a challenge!
That last tee shot I saw roll on the green and wondered what you were going on about lol, cracking looking course that Liam and some decent golf shots 👌 ⛳️
I played Llanymynech after seeing you play it. That was sensational - a great course with spectacular views. Kington is now on my Golfmates bucket list - it looks just as amazing, if not better. Thanks for going to all these truly great courses, Liam. And what a price!
What an absolutely stunning course. The scenery was first class. Some great golf played as well. Can’t wait to get my operation done in June and get back out playing. Not played since Portugal
Nice one Liam reminds me of a lot of our local courses which are built on ,in and around the South Downs where wind and sloping fairways rule the day and why I prefer parkland lol beautiful scenery though
Have played Kington many times , we used to play 36 holes in a day, i don't think i could walk 18 now, i remember watching fighter jets flying through the valley below us, great track !
Great course! Gret views! Great golf! Well played, Liam! I would love to play Kington! PS Not far from Cleeve Hill. Also a great day out amongst the sheep and clouds!
If you’ve ever Played Golf in South Wales, you would have seen views like this a lot. The only difference is the weather isn’t that good very often. Lovely Course though and well played Liam. This may be the perfect place for Mr B as there’s no Bunkers!
Love Kington!! Worked in Hertford for a while ( Army)😮 and played here a few times...Fighter aircraft from RAF Valley often flew below you on the course... great 18th BTW.. hit it with 3 wood
Your first putt on the par 3 was the best putt you’ve made in years….you might not have made it but you rolled it a foot past the hole and almost made it . Keep doing that and some of those longer putts just might drop for a birdie……..or par, what I tell you…awesome par putt 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great video. Live in Cambridge but have played Kington several times and it is brilliant, always in good condition, well worth a visit. Also try The Herefordshire golf club at Wormsley not far away, very picturesque and very interesting.
Liam, speaking of luck on the golf course last week i had a hole in one on two consecutive days! I agree with Rob an documentary on OMP would be very interesting. Beautiful course and I always enjoy watching you play.
“There’s no one here to see it” There will be next week after this exposure- !!! Fantastic drive Liam - did one myself little leaver last week par 4, greened it … I’m a 28 handicap, so needless to say I was made up. How’s the young lad these days - I’m sorry I have forgot his name. Not seen him for a while… lovely lad ! Anyway, another great video.
Or Notts Forest (red and white). Get your eyes checked the last hole I could see the ball running past the flag stick and I live in Indiana. Love the series especially when you detail your swing aspirations, then complete them.
Got a memorable eagle on the 18th. Drove the green and 15ft putt. Yes definitely recommend the course. First 9 holes are equally amazing on that course as well 👍
how bad are my new glasses ....lol

Not many people would look good in those glasses…..but you make them work lol. The scenery there is so beautiful
Rocking the Ryan Reynolds look with those specs Liam! BTW……I want to play Kington ⛳
I like em Liam. Bit of Man Utd red on the legs! 😅

Totally agree with a video with the Legend OMP , FROM HIS GOLF to his stories in general
Yes, great idea! ❤
Great course and outstanding views

I've not watched golfmates for 6 months or more. The editing has improved so much. Well done.
And now you have a large backlog to enjoy!
Great video Liam, beautiful scenery and I think the grass bunkers/bomb holes are great. Oh and the golf wasn’t bad either. Yes I want to play Kington.
I want to play Kington!!!!
Nice golf Liam, stunning views! By the way it was Jimmy Cricket 😂
Love seeing all the new different courses
