- The wiper fishing has been on fire lately so I decided to record a video. Man, those fish fight hard. Throw in Iowa Master Angler size fish.......this is an outing I won't forget.

My brother, I think there's something wrong with the sound of ur reel, unless its supposed to sound like that? Anyhow, l agree. Love that bait. We kill it here in central california during the spring time and early summer!
He is using the shimano antares DC. The most expensive reel. The sound always like that.
The Shimano Curado DC reel has built in computer chip to prevent backlash when casting and I think that is why the reel sounds different. I have heard the same sound in other RUclips videos. The reel is a bit expensive, but I can't recommend it enough for situations when long casting is needed.

lol! I have a directional mic and it just happens to point directly at the reel and is about 5 inches away when I cast wearing the GoPro chest mount. @@AnticipateTheBite hi you use that lure, do you have to change the stock hook? If so, what would you recommend for hook size?
The stock hooks are very high quality, but aren't the strongest. A lot of online reviews say they bend out to easy. Some swear by them, but I change them out.
Each brands hooks are slightly different in weight which can effect how the bait suspends, floats, or sinks. In general a size 6 hook is the most common, but be sure to google how it effects the Vision 110 if you don't go with my option below.
My personal favorite replacement hook is the "Gamakatus Aaron Martens TGW G-Finesse Treble Hook MH". I typed it exactly how it is listed on tackle warehouse so you can find it easily. I use size 6 and haven't noticed any difference in the baits action. The hooks are dangerously sharp and keep fish pinned really well. If you are using really light line, then I would consider the same hook without the "MH" at the end....so that one is "Gamakatsu Aaron Martens TGW Nan G-Finesse Treble Hook". In the past I used that hook in size 5 (because it is lighter wire) before the "MH (Medium Heavy)" version came out, but I kept breaking them when unhooking the fish. Not on the fight or landing the fish, but when trying to take the hooks out with my plyers. I have never broken the "MH" version so I stick with that one now.
Either option is unbelievably good. The quality is ridiculous. Tight lines!

@@AnticipateTheBite Ben thank a lot for your info. Went to pick vision 110 up the other day and saw the hook is very tiny in term of size. I suspect it will bend on the striped 20-30lbs. But I will buy the one you recommend
