- My local power line noise was unusually bad tonight. I’ve written to the FCC because the power company continues to ignore my voice mails and I can’t get someone to answer my calls. I usually escape to the quiet world of CW when the power line noise is bad. But tonight, I thought I would try FT8.

Yes. The magic band. I caught a nice opening of Sporadic E a couple of years ago. It was nice.
You know, that was pretty good for us to make contact on 15m with us in neighboring states.

Cool Contact, I try 15meters today but can't tune well.
15m is a fun band, especially for DX. I worked a bunch of Japanese stations tonight, plus Korea and China.

Was curious as to the distance between you to. 264 miles (car miles) and you were using 353 watts! Someone must have had their coax disconnected......chuckle
Yes, I was astonished that we could make a nighttime 15m contact between neighboring states. The band was smokin’ tonight. I must have worked well over a dozen Japanese stations. I also got China and the Republic of Korea, after working KI4DRA, one state away.
