For 3 years i had been trying to buy them. Every time i would decide, ok this winter i will by a coord. Then i would decide ok, this summer i'll just by coords. But never got myself to buy them because they do look like night suit pajamas, whether you are at home or outside. Im someone who loves short shirts but still this just looks bad.
I never understood why I never bought them despite looking so comfortable. But everytime I tired buying it didn't sit well with me. Now I know it was the night suit resemblance that put me off
Wonderful guidelines provided for those who work in different fields. The best part I liked was where you emphasized employees not to wear revealing clothes. Hats off to you for educating the masses. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I think that co ords sets are more like lounge wears or for running some quick errands. I have a army green linen coord set, and i love that its very easy to style and easy for a quick mall trip or a walk in the park.❤ I'm not a fan of printed ones. Its just too much.
Notice when travel in Pakistan people do not wear hats in heat , they warped clothes, when wearing hats can give coverage and keep the sun off faces! Plus, there cooling strips that can be used ! Hats should be encouraged for women by designers with gauze attached scraps !
Thoroughly loved the episode... absolutely agreed to all your points. am doctor myself and once i carried organza dupata to Hospital and that was horrible day for me 😩
Also do you think it is okay to wear bangles at work? I dont but people do, and it is so weird to me. Even on TV so many characters wear bangles to work and i am like, miss?????
Aamna i'm a doctor who wears abaya and veil to job. I have only recently started bothering to put more effort into looking more presentable but eventhough i've gotten a lot better, i still suck at fashion. I would love a video on how to carry hijabs/abayas for different occasions like workplace, formal events like seminars and annual dinners, casual friend meetups and lunches, summer beach friendly, Northern area trip hiking friendly, party wear. I would love to know which footwear and bags to pair each abaya with. Which colors go together. Which fabrics to go for. How to layer abayas in winter and how to style them with boots etc. I don't know whether i'm asking the right person but you're The Fashion Guru. I dont know anyone else who could give me a better fashion advice. And knowing you used to live in Saudia for a while and also i love Mahwish's styling so maybe you could do an episode with her. Honestly i'm not a person who's usually that bothered with other people's perception of me but recently wearing an abaya is usually taken as someone being outdated, oppressed and poor and that bothers me a lot. People have told me they're surprised i watch sports or that i speak in a way which tells them i know good english (whatever that means) which is apparently different from how i look. Strangers are always surprised upon knowing i used to go to kinnaird or that i'm a doctor and i come from a family full of doctors. If i dont wear a white coat or scrubs at hospital, i'm usually presumed to be an attendant rather than a doctor. All of this and a lot more has often bothered me and i want to put an end to this. Please help me out.
Nooo sis Don’t worry about other They are not gonna help you on judgment day Only your good deeds will help you go through on that day I also wear abaya and i DON’t care about other i just do it for my Rab I just want to obey we shouldn’t bother about people They are not important Let them think whatever they presume about you Allah looks at you with love bcz you are obeying him Thats all that matter in this world and in hereafter ❤
Asak Aamna. I am really liking your fashion Fridays. The topics are on point and much needed. Would it be possible for you to get someone on your channel maybe once or twice a month and talk about makeup and skincare as well? I can’t find any makeup influencer with our skin tones on RUclips that want to follow. Maybe someone has suggestions??
Very nice and informative episode, Amna! To tell you the truth, I have always avoided wearing white, but for the first time ever, I chose to wear white to my daughter's graduation dinner, and apparently, it looked great!
As usual, very sane advise Aamna specially for work environment. Also, please don’t wear too many floral prints and just keep it simple & smart ( solids geometrical prints) . Also, for office parties dont go too crazy as there’s still a professional decorum & you have to go back to work the day after. You still want to be seen as a serious professional to be seriously considered. For xample, a guy may want to take off his tie but not his blazer for an office party, a girl may want to wear slightly higher heels, or a slightly more colorful outfit or leave her long hair open. It’s still work related & everyone needs to remember that.
Why pakistani dramas only show women wearing pants and shirts in offices? Wrinkle free clothes are the best especially in western countries, we prefer not too short but knee short kurtas with pockets. Are they going to open sapphire in Virginia? Hand embroidered clothes with sparsely separated bootis or on borders of shirt, light embroidered. . Small Ajrak scarfs on chiffon. Yes the size needs to be standardized. Most of them xl and xxl kurtas full sleeves are not loose from arms.
Great video love ❤ from Punjab 🇵🇰 Ammna please aik show un students ke liye who wear hijab or Duppatas jo fashion bhi karna cahti hain but modest dressing bhi karna cahti hain please replay me
Amna i am a bit surprised that you don't appreciate jeans on workplace, i am an engineer, used to work in UAE, and mostly ppl in IT software department will wear jeans, they will incorporate it with their jackets, blazers, buttoned shirts, but jeans were everywhere. Very few ppl i saw wearing dressy pants or pant suits. And i agree a simple wristwatch is a classic and timeless.
AoA. Aamna i really like your take on fashion. And this episode on working women wardrobe was so enlighting. Can you please make an episode for home makers as well? Like how should they be styling themselves in this day and age of fast fashion. It gets really tough to create a personal style while staying at home and specially in early years of motherhood. Please share some tips for us stay at home moms as well. Thank you and best wishes. 😊
I love you review on fashion . Now I saw everyone wearing sneakers , sales men and women / Dentists office / hospital / urgent care. / bank . Even at weddings . Now people prefer comfort . Co- ords especially printed honestly look like sleeping suit .

Hi….I follow you on Instagram as well as on RUclips. Anyway, I have a fashion related inquiry. I live in Canada, and I need help buying clothes online. I won’t hold you to it, but will seriously appreciate your suggestions. Buying online from any website involves not knowing who’s telling the truth about material, size etc. Once you mentioned Laam, and I like a lot of the stuff. Do you think it’s dependable on the whole? I promise you it’ll be my decision to buy or not to buy, and it’s not on you.
I went to Dolmen Clifton for the first time almost a week and half ago to buy clothes from LAMA for the first time. I wish you'd have come that day😁 so I could meet you. I really wish to meet you, and your companions: H and T. Please arrange a meet n greet session soon. I really like fashion fortnightly. Sending you good wishes ~ Aqib
Hi Aamna loved, loved, loved your video. Good job! Sapphire is one of my favorites too. 10/10 on your advice to dress up professionally in the office environment. Hope it should help lot of people 👍👍
GREAT VIDEO!! LOVED IT! I am so glad you touched upon the footwear! I usually wear professional looking pumps or joggers (if I anticipate a physically active day when I have to run around) to work; I find it baffling how it's so common and widely accepted to wear chappals to work, it's so unfortunate to look at. I am so glad you talked about footwear, as no one does. One thing I'd like to ask; I usually gravitate towards muted or sometimes even dark tones at work as I find that more professional, however my skin and face looks dull and tired in that. Unfortunately only bright colors like bright orange, hot pink, yellow suit me, but due to professionalism I avoid them. Is it okay if I wear them in solids and pair them with muted shoes, trousers and scarves?
@@aamnaisani thank you for replying!!! I am a doctor; training as a surgical resident. Most days go in scrubs; sometimes I wear some prints and make excuse to myself that most of it is hidden under a lab coat anyways 🥲😂
I personally experienced that maternity wardrobe shouldn't be very different . I didn't wear the baggy maternity gowns I bought especially cz I didn't like them later. Generation has good options. Prints look better than solids.
