Great thanks, the hallway i'm painting is just like this one and you have just given me an idea how to reach the middle- I now you say how not to cut in a stairwell but not much choice. BTY am older female diy-er and as they say needs must.
Yeah fuk that. I been doin exact stairwell at home. Tried extension ladder 1st, back breaking at top ! Long way down, and just a nervous experience. Purchased a multi purpose ladder to suit stairs at top, extension ladder at base, and two 3metre blanks to sit in between. Worked a treat for cutting in, but not for painting as planks were in the way all the time, no matter if i moved to one side of stairs etc. I opted for long pole, and ran it from the living room area, up the wall, then changed to shorter poles as i went up the stairs. These types of jobs, are just shit to do, but have to be done, so make the best of a shit situation. Those who say painting is relaxing and therapeutic - need counselling. Good job guy's, great to see you have fun taking th piss outta th job, lol.
This is how i hung my wallpaper😮. But i used the stairs and wall to hold the ladder, no dangling one leg off the stairs😦. Great video and hilarious at the same time. I will avoid the 'B and Q' specials next time 👍
wallingtonfilming The Candle man Why havent walls been mist coated first? Ive watched your other videos on mist coating.....love your vids n humour mate!
Why not?...I've cut every stairwell in like this that I've every done. Sometimes when I've not got a ladder on the van I climb up using hands and feet and get my mate to pass a loaded brush. I'm self employed though and get the job done. When I went to collage years ago they thought us how to tie ladders together with sash cord to get up to the gable tops. Too many rules and regs these days and blokes that don't know how to look after themselves.

Sorry but for legal reasons I just can't advise on any system or how to paint the stairwell I'll leave it up to your own imagination
All that wasted space,,why not put in a cupboard accessible from another room,?!! 🤔🤔
Just invest in a 'stairmate' simple
Wish I knew where to buy one
