Testing a Flying Duct

DARcorporation recently built and hover-tested a foam ducted fan. Affectionately dubbed the "Flying Trash Can" for its looks by our team, this effort is being done to study control methods during a vertical transition. Ducted fans need to overcome an inherent pitching moment in cross-wind conditions, and this little test vehicle will help us refine our own control methods to mitigate that. Stay tuned for more!
