I have s23 ultra and when phone goes above 43⁰C its fps limit becoming 60 fps and this is because heating and in case of iphone the reduce their brightness to control heating
I was also facing decrease fps to 60 in pubg starting at 120 fps due to heating same in battle royal in codm starting to 100fps and go to 60. To fix it fps drop to 60 I use galaxy max hz ( paid app) to fix my refresh rate at 120hz all the time instead of variable hz and it solve the problem but the phone get to hot so I bought a phone cooler and now I have steady 120fps in pbug and 100fps in codm battle royal. I'm using base s23
I played pubg on s24 exynos yesterday with fps meter and some settings chnaged trust me fps was only 118-120 in tdm

iPhone reduces brightness when its too high. I never faced any brightness drop bcuz I normally play indoor.
