Great video. Just stumbled across it today. I am a Middle School Counselor and I normally run an after school photography club. My students all depend on using the school's equipment, so now that we are closed due to COVID-19, I am going to keep the photo club going but using our mobile phones. This is a perfect video to get us started. Thanks!
I'm discovering this video nearly a year after you published it, but wanted to say thanks anyway. I really appreciated your tips & tricks, along with the clear explanations!
This video was super helpful! In the middle of this pandemic I'm working full-time security at an empty concert venue. While on patrol I've been trying to get back into still photography, something I used to do before getting so busy and telling myself I didn't have time. There's so much here that I see everyday I feel like Im just taking the same photo over and over. I definitely going to take these tips when I do my next patrol here in like 20 mins! Also I never even thought about flipping the phone around!
Adobe Lightroom Mobile is now free. You can find it at app store on Android and IOS. Little hard at first on a phone due to small screen but I use it on 10 inch HD tablet and it rocks (also works on iPad). I use it on photos sent over from my DSLR for quick edits and posting where ever.
RUclipss algorithm sent me here. I am now also deep down the rabbit hole watching tutorials, tips and tricks etc.... And thanks to great content creators like you I have gone from an amateur point and shoot hack to a gimbal using, variable ND filter using crazy person lying on the ground taking pictures of flowers...

That's sweet! I edit a lot of my RAW images in Snapseed but it can be fickle about the type of RAW file it'll take. I looked it up and it will edit the V30 DNGs which is awesome. And I think the Lightroom app will as well. But that's certainly a great video to make. I'll take note
Kenneth, I was hearing about how great the Snapseed app was. I got it on my phone but didn't understand or saw any tutorials on how to use it until I saw your videos. Thanks for sharing!

Great video, I have been taking photos with my Note8 and it's impressive what you can do now with smartphone cameras, I'm gonna check my photos with snapseed, but I'm using Lightroom as well (my camera has the RAW option). Btw Kenneth, on your tips I think you forgot to say to learn to use the Manual/Pro mode of the smartphone camera, that's very important as well.. Anyways, I'm gonna start watching your videos

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC (mobile) only cost money if you want certain features such as editing raw files. I don't know how it was back in February, but the recent update is worth checking out. Though I'd recommend checking out multiple apps and work them into your work flow when needed as none of them have everything you may need. Just remember to save in a lossless format if you plan on doing that. I personally use snapseed to convert to .png just because I don't want to shoot in .jpg or pay a monthly fee to edit raw files in lightroom cc.
