    Her upper belts have improved so much, particularly during A Tori Kelly Christmas Live she was just hitting high notes so effortlessly! Great video 😄

    The B5 was in head voice. She actually has a head voice.

    1:04 is actually an E. The other girl is doing the higher harmony, but I'm not sure which note it is... Tori is doing the "lower", but I mean an E is still high af

      No she's not. You can clearly hear Tori. Compare the F#5 she did earlier in that performance to this one. It's Tori and at the end she was the only one still sustaining the note. Now idk if it is a F#5 but it was Tori.

    Tori kelly has just as much ease in her upper belting as demi and ariana. And take into account her runs and other great attributes to her voice she is definitely at least top 2 in this generation.

      I would not compare her ease to Demi and Ariana because it’s not there, Demi and Ariana sustain Bb5’s and A5’s and spit them out like it’s nothing and throw G5’s around for breakfast….Tori Kelly squeezes when she gets up to G5 and G#5 and generally hits briefly hits those top notes and runs down quickly after whereas Demi And Ariana can stay up there. Tori can go higher and can stay up there longer if she wasn’t so too heavy and mixed more, but with that being said i would actually compare her ease to someone like Mariah Carey, Jessie J, or Perrie Edwards.

      @@vocallover2197 yup, but at least thank God nowadays she gained ease by lightening her mixed, so it's not that hard to hit notes above F#5 until Bb5, for example when she hit Bb5 when she was practicing, it's a proof she has ease, but it'll be different when she performs on stage she's adding the chest ratio on her mixed

      @@danjuliano yea, more then likely she likes the sound of a heavier note vs lighter mix, we know that she likes rasp and when using her head voice she likes to go for a lot of distortion sometimes with that heavy metallic sound almost like a rock singer screaming sometimes so those clear heady mixed belts is probably not her favorite style of singing 😭 unfortunately

    • @danjuliano
      @danjuliano  3 года назад

      @@vocallover2197 IKR, the only heady mixed we got is on her Language Performance that A5😩, the rest of it are balance/chesty mixed

    • @Roguenight863
      @Roguenight863 3 года назад +2

      @@vocallover2197 she doesn't squeeze. She uses different vowels. She could stay up in her upper belting range if she needed/ wants to.
