Directors and authors please, what's with all these current dramas with not so good ending or sad endings,is it a trend that you people have chosen for us...... please now I am already so tired of crying STOP THIS TREND please
It’s a great drama. I don’t know why people criticized Liu Luning so much. He and the whole cast are outstanding. By far, this is the best drama I have seen in 2023. Thanks to the script writers. Can’t wait to see his new drama Curtain Jade.
Watching this a second time and I don't regret finishing it to the very end again. A lot of people said stop at 35 but I'm happy I finished with episode 40. Some may hate the ending, some may love it. Personally I found that it was rushed but a happy ending as everyone was together at the end. This series has so many laughter, smiles and tears. It was a great drama to end 2023 with and starting 2024 with as well. It will be my top #1 drama to watch. Liu Yu Ning & Liu Shishi did an amazing job acting this series. Not to mention Alen Fang and the rest of the cast too. Thank you for giving us an amazing Journey to a Memory of Guan Shang. ❤❤
This is one of the best dramas I have watched. I am so devastated. It was very touching and heartbreaking. Yuanzhou and ruyi are the best and most compatible pair. Liu yuning' s acting is as awesome as his looks. Liu shi shi is amazing as well. I loved it. Thank you.

Definitely contender for top 5 c dramas of the year and we have really good ones too. This drama has original script, it wasn't based on any preexisting source. Although the ending is not the happy ending we expected, I respect their decisions. Love the crew and cast for this drama. Definitely deserved round of applause for their hard work.
This is the one of the best serie I've ever seen in Chinese entertainment industry, the ending is very very satisfactory only to pigheaded people gonna not see it through. The writers are very smart. RIP to our HEROES.
Its too hard to cry and grin at the same time. This drama made me do that. It was that good, i know people think the ending was bad but i feel it was on point, won't change a thing. And the actors were soooo goooood, they captured the story that their characters were trying to convey, i can't think of anyone taking their place. Lots of love all the way from Tanzania, i can finally say it was a great journey, thank you all responsible for making it n thank you for taking us with u through this journey. 🥰🥰
El final fue triste, pero hermoso, dignos de héroes valientes q van a la guerra decididos a vivir o morir por la paz de los pueblos, aunque en muchas veces no se les reconozca su sacrificio. Está es umn viaje lleno de hermandad, lealtad, valentía, amor, heroismo pero también de no regreso.asi como muchos héroes. Todos estos amigos deseaban estar en las buenas y en las malas, en la vida y la muerte y sin arrepentimientos El amor de Ruyi y Ning es un amor apasionado y profundo, un amor a lo Romeo y Julieta, ninguno de los dos quería vivir sin el otro. Por eso Ruyi, se brinda para asesinar a sus enemigos y al mismo tiempo se suicida. El niño en realidad no es su hijo, su parecido con Ning, le hace recordar a la chica a sus heroicos amigos y lo hermoso q estuvieran ahí. Una peli espectacular, con final digno de héroes. Pero por fa no maten tanto a los protagonistas.todos son geniales.
this drama can make you grin with a tears in the eyes...it's like a relieve and a pain in the same time...the cast did great job, it's one of the best wuxia in cdramaland...the lovers, the brotherhood is the best everyone did everything for their loved ones and country...a big applause for everyone👏👏👏 thank you
All these characters had their own personalities that blended so good together! I love them all and the actor who played Ning made it all more enjoyable, fine actor chosen to be the leader, thank you , and yes I cried each time one of them died.
HE is something everyone wants, but in this drama, this is HE. They sacrificed themselves for other people lives and happiness which what they wanted. The ending was perfect even though it is not something we all wants. It broke my heart to see all of them died but it is necessary for this drama.
This was an amazing drama. Definitely not the end I was expecting, as I was looking forward to seeing Ning's and Ruyi child. But I now think that this was the perfect ending. The bond between them was too strong. They would be depressed living alone. It's either they all live together or they die together as heroes.
Liu Yuning He is not only handsome, he is an extraordinary actor, I love everything about him. The critics better keep silent, they only "give their opinion" but they will never come close to him in talent or beauty.
The ending was BEAUTIFULLY done and all of the heros having their own death scene was sad, yet wonderful as they set the example of giving their all for their brothers and their country. For everyone who won't watch the last episodes, I will say to you that you know nothing about what life is all about! Each hero fought to their last breath. Not one of them gave up! And the scene where those who had died first, where their spirits were playing in the snow, and the second one where all six of them were riding horses away, shows exactly what reincarnation is all about. We live and learn here and then return back to our true home with happiness and love surrounding us. Those who are left behind must carry on and do their best to live a good and wonderful life. This drama was thrilling. The story line was very good and not one time could I guess what was going to happen next. Everyone of the actors did a wonderful job. I could feel it in my heart when they were in love, when they were teasing each other, when they were sad or missing a loved one and when they were in the battles fighting as hard as they could. I laughed many times and cried so much as their life began and ended. The music, both instrumental and singing, contributed to each scene to create a beautiful mood along with the opening and closing songs of each episode. The scenery was beautiful. The battle tactics and weapons along with the battle planning and ways to summon help from far away is something that we aren't used to today. The costumes were exquisite. The jewelry was beautiful. Everyone involved in the creation of this drama, along with the wonderful actors, deserve a standing ovation!!!

I don't think they died. The kid at the end was Ning's and Ruyi's son who led her home to meet his parents. If Chu Yue was an old woman who suddenly became young again while going to meet the kid's parents, then their death would've been more believable. They faked it.

One of my favorite dramas now, glad I came across it! I’m a fan of Liu Yuning’s music and have enjoyed watching him acting as well in other dramas. It was great to see him in the ML this time. Liu Shishi was amazing as well and I think they made an awesome couple in this drama. Enjoyed the mature romance. Of course the rest of the cast was stellar!!! The interactions between the actors were well played and convincing, cinematography breathtaking, wuxia riveting, costumes gorgeous, oh and the soundtrack perfect! I usually don’t care for endings that are sad, but somehow for this drama it works. Enjoyed all 40 episodes!

This is war of wars I always think of Yuan and Li like father and son, brothers 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 for YuanZhou and his men Only the female assassin Ren Ruyi can do this..... Its has-been a journey indeed......thanks for uploading ❤
So I guess a lot of people are confused or wondering if the couple are alive or not, and if Chu Yue is dreaming or not. So I believe the answer is she's dreaming. If you notice closely the location where she is at in the last scene is the place of the last battle between the then alive brother Ning, Ruyi and all the others where both Shishan and Ning die. The place has now tranformed in the past 10 yrs and has become this beautiful meadow surrounding the mountains which run till Tainmin pass and beyond where the Wu territory starts. The new meadow represents peace, hope, desires and wishful thinking. it helps her escape the gruesome reality of those who died by transforming that harsh past into a beautiful future. Also, she basically manifests only that knowledge that she gathered previously through her interactions with Yu shishan, and Ruyi and brotherNing in her conversations with the little boy.
Chu Yue did not spend enough time with Ruyi and Ning to get to know them. She was only close with Yu Shisan. That's why the dream scenario is far fetched IMO. The boy gave her way too many specific details about who he was for it to be a dream. If it was Yang Ying instead of Chu Yue, the dream scenario would've made sense because she was best friends with Ruyi and Ning and spent a lot of time with them.

I this this is my best C-drama I ever watched, from episode 1 to this very last one I loved every episode, this movie is totally flawless. From the choices of actors to the scripts to the scenes, the story, the actions, so much learnt from it and so many emotions transmitted from it.
The last 5 episodes of this drama are roller coaster.. I cried, laughed, and smiled and the cried again and again. One of the best action drama series I watched.. this is better than "Princess Agent" in my opinion..
Yes, I agree. This drama is everything, from amazing fighting scenes, chemistry between the main couple, the loyalty of the 4 comrades to their country, the beautiful OST songs, to the costumes, and more! I have rewatched 3 times, and I keep coming back and rewatch. I can't get enough of Boss Ning and Ruyi. Hope they will be paired up again for another historical drama! Their chemistry is off the charts!

I cried unbelievably in the last episode. I know it's a drama but I'm extremely sad. The shared scene in the beautiful meadow is indeed a caress to the soul but the sadness and the tears and the anguish in my soul cannot drown it out. This series has left a deep memory in me. It had everything in it, love, friendship, tears, hatred, humility, madness, a sense of victory and truth. The inseparability and brotherhood of the main characters. My only regret is that the desires of the main characters were not fulfilled. This will be one of my top dramas. Liu Yu Ning and Liu Shishi were just great and gave amazing acting performances. The rest of the actors weren't lagging behind either. Thank you to the filmmakers for this film and the beautiful production design.
Hands up to the director, producer, script writer, and to all the cast... I cannot stop my emotion everytime I watch the episode.... This is one of the best historical drama I've ever watch.. So tense every time they will engage at war.. Thank you for the lessons you've share with us... That not all the time have a happy ending(no forever) But the friendship, respect,care and love will remained to the people who left behind.

OMG, haven't cried in a while that much ... love the entire cast, even though deap inside me I wished for a happy ending I still love the drama so so much! All actors played so well, I can't show enough admiration in one message. Liu Shi Shi and Liu Yu Ning make a woanderful couple and I would like to see them together in other drama as well. Liu Yu Ning voice is so beautiful and touching I could listen to him unstop! Gente, poucos doramas tem um título que faz jus a história. Realmente foi uma jornada de amor. A amizade e a lealdade entre eles, que coisa mais linda! OS casais românticos, as mulheres fortes independentes e guerreiras. Simplesmente um dos melhores doramas.

I agree with the person who said the princess died after all that happened .. the love of her life had died and she was alone ..the child was her imagination ..looking over his shoulder she saw the whloe crew and decided to cross over to be with them There is no way that Boss Ning & Ruiy could have survived ...it was such a sad way to end the series but so beautifully handled i think ..in the end they were all together in a peaceful place with no wars to fight and the world was also peaceful at last ..so they succeeded in what they set out to do ..i think it was the best drama so far 💜 Love the actors the journey that the writers took us on ..10/10 for me😊
Terrific drama!! I grinned big and lol with Shi San's humor and silly personality. But I cried my eyes so much together with Ruyi, Yuan Zhou and the rest from ep 35 till the end. The full cast was perfectly picked and everyone was awesome with their character development. Despite the bitterness of tragedy after tragedy, it was one of those dramas worth to watch till the end, and even replay it. My congrats to Liu Yu Ning, Liu Shi Shi, Allen Fang, Chen You Wei (Yuan Lu), He Lan Dou (Yang Ying), Wang Yi Zhe (Qian Zhao), Li Huan (Sun Lang), Shan Hua Sen (Li TongvGuang/Jieur). And to Directors Zhou Yuan Zhou and Zou Xi. Few dramas are so fulfilling. Bravo guys!!! Great job. 👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤

I bawled my eyes out at the snowfight scene (and damn Liu Yuning delivered that scene the best of all his sad scenes). I'm glad it happened though because he was not there at all for the other brothers who died and considering how close he was to all of them, his brief hidden reaction in the previous episode felt so cold-hearted. Especially for Yuan Lu who he practically raised. Honestly, made Ning Yuanzhou's death more bearable (and expected) too.

41:04 I think the scene of Chu Yue, not aged in appearance more than 10 years later, walking onto the overly green grass field, meeting Ning 13 and walk off with him is actually her passing and reuniting with the crew. The ceremony at the capital the solider referred to should actually be her state funeral. That's so sad. 😢

I'm Chinese-speaking and I've checked the English translation: indeed it only mentioned 'ceremony'. But in Chinese subtitle it clearly speaks about a ceremony of the 'actual crowning' of the emperor (= mostly when he's 18 years old, but can also be younger), meaning that he can rule independently. Actually I'm quite optimistic about the ending. I don't think Ruyi were dead. I'd rather understand as she married somebody who is not very important, has children (could be both her own of adopted) raised by herself, and memorizes her old friends by giving their name to her children. This is also a way of life the queen had expected her to have. So Chu Yue would see her again.
This series is so so so good. It made me both laugh and cry! I loved how each character has their own screentime! The music, the acting, the story, the cast.. just perfect! You cannot NOT fall in love with them❤ just beautiful.. imma get angry if this show doesn't get an award

This one of the best well written, directed, & played out drama I've seen in a while. I've been watching chinese dramas for years & this one is golden. Absolutely unforgettable & re-watchable. I really appreciated the female characters here that were actually meaningful and the comradery of the four fellas plus Boss Ning that was a pleasure to watch. The entire cast of characters executed their roles exceptionally well.
Princess is imagining seeing the spirits of the Six Realms Hall team together in the heavens and the boy who is Ning Yuanzhou and Ren's son is also imagined. Ning and Ren didn't know each other that long to have a son that age (and have a daughter back at home too) and that's why I feel that she is in her feelings imagining a happier ending. It was nice to see the team together in the end riding their horses happily. I did luv this drama and will watch it again..

Watching this a second time and I don't regret finishing it to the very end again. A lot of people said stop at 35 but I'm happy I finished with episode 40. Some may hate the ending, some may love it. Personally I found that it was rushed but a happy ending as everyone was together at the end. This series has so many laughter, smiles and tears. It was a great drama to end 2023 with and starting 2024 with as well. It will be my top #1 drama to watch. Liu Yu Ning & Liu Shishi did an amazing job acting this series. Not to mention Alen Fang and the rest of the cast too. Thank you for giving us an amazing Journey to a Memory of Guan Shang. ❤❤

Definitely contender for top 5 c dramas of the year and we have really good ones too. This drama has original script, it wasn't based on any preexisting source. Although the ending is not the happy ending we expected, I respect their decisions. Love the crew and cast for this drama. Definitely deserved round of applause for their hard work.

All these characters had their own personalities that blended so good together! I love them all and the actor who played Ning made it all more enjoyable, fine actor chosen to be the leader, thank you , and yes I cried each time one of them died.
HE is something everyone wants, but in this drama, this is HE. They sacrificed themselves for other people lives and happiness which what they wanted. The ending was perfect even though it is not something we all wants. It broke my heart to see all of them died but it is necessary for this drama.
This was an amazing drama. Definitely not the end I was expecting, as I was looking forward to seeing Ning's and Ruyi child. But I now think that this was the perfect ending. The bond between them was too strong. They would be depressed living alone. It's either they all live together or they die together as heroes.

The ending was BEAUTIFULLY done and all of the heros having their own death scene was sad, yet wonderful as they set the example of giving their all for their brothers and their country. For everyone who won't watch the last episodes, I will say to you that you know nothing about what life is all about! Each hero fought to their last breath. Not one of them gave up! And the scene where those who had died first, where their spirits were playing in the snow, and the second one where all six of them were riding horses away, shows exactly what reincarnation is all about. We live and learn here and then return back to our true home with happiness and love surrounding us. Those who are left behind must carry on and do their best to live a good and wonderful life.
This drama was thrilling. The story line was very good and not one time could I guess what was going to happen next. Everyone of the actors did a wonderful job. I could feel it in my heart when they were in love, when they were teasing each other, when they were sad or missing a loved one and when they were in the battles fighting as hard as they could. I laughed many times and cried so much as their life began and ended. The music, both instrumental and singing, contributed to each scene to create a beautiful mood along with the opening and closing songs of each episode. The scenery was beautiful. The battle tactics and weapons along with the battle planning and ways to summon help from far away is something that we aren't used to today. The costumes were exquisite. The jewelry was beautiful. Everyone involved in the creation of this drama, along with the wonderful actors, deserve a standing ovation!!!

I don't think they died. The kid at the end was Ning's and Ruyi's son who led her home to meet his parents. If Chu Yue was an old woman who suddenly became young again while going to meet the kid's parents, then their death would've been more believable. They faked it.

One of my favorite dramas now, glad I came across it! I’m a fan of Liu Yuning’s music and have enjoyed watching him acting as well in other dramas. It was great to see him in the ML this time. Liu Shishi was amazing as well and I think they made an awesome couple in this drama. Enjoyed the mature romance. Of course the rest of the cast was stellar!!! The interactions between the actors were well played and convincing, cinematography breathtaking, wuxia riveting, costumes gorgeous, oh and the soundtrack perfect! I usually don’t care for endings that are sad, but somehow for this drama it works. Enjoyed all 40 episodes!

So I guess a lot of people are confused or wondering if the couple are alive or not, and if Chu Yue is dreaming or not. So I believe the answer is she's dreaming. If you notice closely the location where she is at in the last scene is the place of the last battle between the then alive brother Ning, Ruyi and all the others where both Shishan and Ning die. The place has now tranformed in the past 10 yrs and has become this beautiful meadow surrounding the mountains which run till Tainmin pass and beyond where the Wu territory starts. The new meadow represents peace, hope, desires and wishful thinking. it helps her escape the gruesome reality of those who died by transforming that harsh past into a beautiful future. Also, she basically manifests only that knowledge that she gathered previously through her interactions with Yu shishan, and Ruyi and brotherNing in her conversations with the little boy.

Chu Yue did not spend enough time with Ruyi and Ning to get to know them. She was only close with Yu Shisan. That's why the dream scenario is far fetched IMO. The boy gave her way too many specific details about who he was for it to be a dream. If it was Yang Ying instead of Chu Yue, the dream scenario would've made sense because she was best friends with Ruyi and Ning and spent a lot of time with them.
The boy was not real but part of her imagination and longing to be with yhe man she loved

This drama is everything, from amazing fighting scenes, chemistry between the main couple, the loyalty of the 4 comrades to their country, the beautiful OST songs, to the costumes, and more! I have rewatched 3 times, and I keep coming back and rewatch. I can't get enough of Boss Ning and Ruyi. Hope they will be paired up again for another historical drama! Their chemistry is off the charts!

I cried unbelievably in the last episode. I know it's a drama but I'm extremely sad. The shared scene in the beautiful meadow is indeed a caress to the soul but the sadness and the tears and the anguish in my soul cannot drown it out. This series has left a deep memory in me. It had everything in it, love, friendship, tears, hatred, humility, madness, a sense of victory and truth. The inseparability and brotherhood of the main characters. My only regret is that the desires of the main characters were not fulfilled. This will be one of my top dramas. Liu Yu Ning and Liu Shishi were just great and gave amazing acting performances. The rest of the actors weren't lagging behind either. Thank you to the filmmakers for this film and the beautiful production design.
Hands up to the director, producer, script writer, and to all the cast... I cannot stop my emotion everytime I watch the episode.... This is one of the best historical drama I've ever watch.. There is no way that Boss Ning & Ruiy could have survived ...it was such a sad way to end the series but so beautifully handled i think ..in the end they were all together in a peaceful place with no wars to fight and the world was also peaceful at last ..so they succeeded in what they set out to do ..i think it was the best drama so far 💜

Terrific drama!! I grinned big and lol with Shi San's humor and silly personality. But I cried my eyes so much together with Ruyi, Yuan Zhou and the rest from ep 35 till the end. The full cast was perfectly picked and everyone was awesome with their character development. Despite the bitterness of tragedy after tragedy, it was one of those dramas worth to watch till the end, and even replay it. My congrats to Liu Yu Ning, Liu Shi Shi, Allen Fang, Chen You Wei (Yuan Lu), He Lan Dou (Yang Ying), Wang Yi Zhe (Qian Zhao), Li Huan (Sun Lang), Shan Hua Sen (Li TongvGuang/Jieur). And to Directors Zhou Yuan Zhou and Zou Xi. Few dramas are so fulfilling. Bravo guys!!! Great job. 👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤

I bawled my eyes out at the snowfight scene (and damn Liu Yuning delivered that scene the best of all his sad scenes). I'm glad it happened though because he was not there at all for the other brothers who died and considering how close he was to all of them, his brief hidden reaction in the previous episode felt so cold-hearted. Especially for Yuan Lu who he practically raised. Honestly, made Ning Yuanzhou's death more bearable (and expected) too.

The ceremony at the capital the solider referred to should actually be her state funeral. That's so sad. 😢

I'm Chinese-speaking and I've checked the English translation: indeed it only mentioned 'ceremony'. But in Chinese subtitle it clearly speaks about a ceremony of the 'actual crowning' of the emperor (= mostly when he's 18 years old, but can also be younger), meaning that he can rule independently.
Actually I'm quite optimistic about the ending. I don't think Ruyi were dead. I'd rather understand as she married somebody who is not very important, has children (could be both her own of adopted) raised by herself, and memorizes her old friends by giving their name to her children. This is also a way of life the queen had expected her to have. So Chu Yue would see her again.

This series is so so so good. It made me both laugh and cry! I loved how each character has their own screentime! The music, the acting, the story, the cast.. just perfect! You cannot NOT fall in love with them❤ just beautiful.. imma get angry if this show doesn't get an award

This one of the best well written, directed, & played out drama I've seen in a while. I've been watching chinese dramas for years & this one is golden. Absolutely unforgettable & re-watchable. I really appreciated the female characters here that were actually meaningful and the comradery of the four fellas plus Boss Ning that was a pleasure to watch. The entire cast of characters executed their roles exceptionally well.
Princess is imagining seeing the spirits of the Six Realms Hall team together in the heavens and the boy who is Ning Yuanzhou and Ren's son is also imagined. Ning and Ren didn't know each other that long to have a son that age (and have a daughter back at home too) and that's why I feel that she is in her feelings imagining a happier ending. It was nice to see the team together in the end riding their horses happily. I did luv this drama and will watch it again..
