@@chrisx5127 I wanted to put kc roof rack and didn’t want take any chances on it leaking or cracking while offloading. I had planned to off-road with it. And unfortunately kc discontinued the rack 😕. And I can’t find a roof rack that I like for this truck.
@@D33WAN4 I'm single, so for me I could sleep in the back seat with plenty of leg rooms and see the stars at night. Would you say it not worth the hassle for off-road? I'm having mixed feelings about it. It makes the off-road experience more enjoyable but at the same time...I'm not sure.
Thank you for giving the Titan some love! They are severely underrated. I see from other videos that you have the Icon lift on your truck with 295/70/R18s. Is the lift set at max height and did you have to do much trimming to accommodate the bigger tires?
Thank you. I don’t know if it is at max or not. It was at 2” and the ride awesome and I raised it .5” and now it rides very stiff like the day I bought it. I was thinking about dropping it back down. I only have to trim plastic part of inside the bumper. But then my bumper was bent too. It does rub wheel well on inside on flex which I heard rubbing few times on this trip.
I have an old tundra and I want something more modern. I was looking at maybe getting a 2015, 2018 tundra but my buddy swears by his Nissan. Any feed back? He said Shane Nissan frame is better(no rust), better mpg’s, cheaper and has rear locker. Any help? Reliability is my main concern. I drive 100 miles into the desert alone lol. I will haul camping gear and a dirt bike. Any help would be appreciated.
Well I don’t know about the frame difference but it is definitely reliable and pro4x model comes with rear locker and is cheaper then Toyota also better quality. Mpg is about the same I would say or pretty close. The biggest difference would be aftermarket support. And you can’t have open differential on Nissan. The traction control doesn’t completely turn off. I have yet to take mine to sand and see how it does. It did just fine on little sand on an off-road park. I believe there is a tune for it but not sure.
I have a question maybe someone here can help me. I have a 2019 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve 4X4 with the Cummins engine. I installed a 3 inch RF Lift with 35" Toyo Mud Tires. Can my truck do the things performed in this video? Or do I have to have the Differential Lockers?? I been invited to places like these with my friends but I don't want to be embarrassed if I get stuck easily.
You will be fine. I can’t remember if I did use locker in this video. I believe it was Just 4lo. Xd is just a bit longer and heavier I think. I’ll try to mention when I use rear locker in future videos
@@D33WAN4 Thank you so much for that info. I'll give it a try. Never done 4X4 off roading before, so I was a little worried I needed the lockers for something similar to this scenario. Beautiful truck you got there
Nice. Congrats. I have the Nissan optional icon lift. I did adjust the coil overs up front to .5” more and removed the rear 1”block with a 1.5” block when I got the tires. I might drop it down up front because of ride quality. The only sliders I found was from rocky road offroad. They are built very wheel but I did have to wait 4 months for it and also you have to drill all 24 holes. I had a shop do it and they didn’t read the instructions and made it flash with the frame.(front was supposed to be hanging lower because of the frame design). Exhaust is a catback magnaflow. It’s not too loud. Nice and quiet for after market exhaust on highways. If you want something loud then this is not it. Try nismo catback.
Really enjoying your Titan off-road videos. Keep it up!
Thank you
@@D33WAN4 Any reason why you didn't opt for the one with panoramic moon roof?

Neat! Also, how much of an MPG hit did you take?
@@lukehenry705
With the larger heavier tire, i lost about 3mpg. It might be also because of the exhaust. Foot got heavier 😂
@@D33WAN4 Understandable😂 Thanks!
Due to your videos and other reviews on this truck. I’m sold on getting a titan over f150 and gm trucks
Thanks
Another cool and fun video hahaha been waiting on this 🤩
Lots of cool trails in that area.
We were supposed to going further down/up by sawhill lake but didn’t have enough time. Will explore more next season.

I just purchased a 23 titan pro4x. Which lift sliders and exhaust are you running?
