I've done this several times to my machine. The carb clogs up with stale fuel over winter. Cleaning it out is not worth the bother when you can buy a new one for £10
Good comment on the bore size. Most people trust the advert for a carb and just slap it on with bad results. Also need to make sure the throttle hookup is exactly the same. I’ve been burned before! Happy Christmas to you and yours!

My one of these has developed a horrible squealing noise when running -( I noticed it does not do it if no attachments are stuck in).
Any ideas on if it is salvageable, or for the tip?

what an absolute legend you are mick giving me the confidence to fix my strimmers; just a quick question. after a days hard graft would you recommend draining the tank and letting the mower run itself dry to empty the carb

Worked for me, so simple really but I'm not mechanically inclined at all so this was really good. Saved me a big bill at a garden machine repair shop. Tried to support you from your wishlist but having problems with items not being able to be delivered to your address.

I have a problem with my titan grass strimmer multi tool . The pull cord come off , so I stripped it down and reattached it , do you wind the pull cord anti clockwise or clockwise when on the spool , also the spring is okay but come undone , what is the best way of fitting it back . The model no is TTK587GDO any help would be appreciated

Hi Mick , I spoke to you about my titan petrol strimmer , which way the coil spring goes and the pull string goes , well I am not having much luck ' is there any chance you can do a video to show me how it goes, refitting back together. It would be greatly appreciated mate 👍

Have u done any work on the Titan TTL688HDC hedge trimmer before or any vids ?
Av got one that putting new fuel lines in but they go into bottom of tank and am struggling getting the pipe to lay down in the tank so it sucks fuel up , it's just sticking up to top of tank
Twist the line around.. it will fall down..

Buy a Titan and your best mate is a small engine mechanic. Fix the carb and the coil goes. Fix the coil and the thing just falls apart. Just don't waste your money.
Nice one Mick! I’ve order my carb and it comes with filter fuel lines and some other bits for £11 so happy days. Titan repaired shortly. All the best for the new year bud 💪🏼

For £9 you can’t really go wrong, a carb kit will be over a tenner and a lot more hassle if you don’t know what your doing.

I have a honda roller Mower that's clutch is slopping and I'm worried it's on its way out. Is the adjustment something you would post? Where are you based, I'm in Somerset, Joe

Mick, sorry I don't know if I'm answering this well enough, it has 2 drives, one for forward (the roller dive) and one for the cutting blade. The situation is that the roller has come apart and so separate from the internal sprocket. I think the gearbox is fine although could do with adjusting. AGAIN, I don't know how to do it. I could WhatsApp you some photos if that would help? Joe
