I want to start by saying I don't think anyone will be dethroning Janelle the BB Queen, EVER, but..... If anyone ever stood a chance, it would NOT be Dani. I feel like, even though it is beyond unlikely, there is only one other female player who could do it. And that person is Janelle's nemesis. If she managed a second win, that would obviously be pretty legendary, just saying... Even though most of y'all would haaaaaaaate it! 😉

i think a lot of ppl forget that Dani is a vet. All Dani does is instigate, stir the pot, sits back & watch. Every season she's carried. idk where y'all get that Day is mess, when Dani's mouth brings nothing but drama & manipulation. It never fails to amaze me how so many people ignore the common denominator.
There’s no reason to watch this season or the future seasons entirely. I’ve been fatigued with this show every since BB16. Maybe for others, they like it, but I’m not in that group.
WestLawyer 76888 I wouldn’t say no reason but it’s definitely not the same game and that’s only being accentuated big time this year with the whole old school new school. As sad as it may sound, it hurts me way more than it should.

I love day but I think she lost all her chances of winning she just talks way to much I want to see a African American win.
Unpopular opinion here: Loved Christmas before and so happy with her game so far! I don’t understand the Janelle hype at all. Didn’t watch BB 6 or 7, but wasn’t impressed with her as a coach or this season. Looking forward to see Kaysar in his own to see what his game without Janelle could be!
you have to watch 6 and 7 to have a thorough opinion of janelle , of course you can’t understand something you’ve never seen.... doesn’t really make sense to have a opinions on things you aren’t fully educated in.

I agree this was not a great showing performance wise but watch s6 and I bet she’ll change your mind!
Why we love Janelle (or at least for me, and I think a lot of people feel this way) is because she surprised the crap out of us her first season, in a similar fashion to Rachel Reilly (although Rachel has a lot of haters, I like her though).
In Janelle’s opening package tape, she seemed like the stereotypical dumb but pretty girl put in there for showmance potential (which would be an expected casting decision) but then she quickly had to pivot after losing her two allies right at the beginning of the game and we see this person who’s actually NOTHING like we expected - she’s smart, strategic and back then, an absolute comp beast (she holds the title for most wins in a season - I think Dani may have matched her in s8 but someone correct me if I’m wrong).
Add to that the fact that people love an underdog story - her & Kayser (together with Howie & Rachel) had to play from the bottom week after week in both seasons (actually, ALL of her seasons!) and she didn’t play scared. She didn’t float to power. She never turned on her allies to save her own neck. She just beasted it out until the end and maneuvered her way to f3. I can tell a lot of these new school players never watched Janelle’s first season because they kept calling her untrustworthy but she’s one of the most loyal alliance members in BB history!
I love to be surprised by players and those are the HGs I end up loving the most. To me, that’s still the most interesting part of BB and why I’m a diehard old school fan - it’s the social experiment aspect that entertains me. Taking all different people from different genders, sexual orientations, geographic regions, age groups, cultural and religious backgrounds, put them into isolation together and see what happens - who can build bridges and embrace their differences and who falls back into expected social patterns.
Janelle proved a lot of viewers wrong showing she doesn’t judge a book by its cover and not to make that mistake with her, that she’s a boss a$$ B and a loyal ally.
And the whole storyline around Kaysar right after 911? TV gold. To this day, s6 Kaysar is still one of the best casting decisions in BB history.
I miss those days. I wish they’d stop casting people who would all hang out together IRL because that’s why we get these giant blob alliances that just coast until jury - they’re too comfortable around each other. HGs should be put out of their comfort zones from the jump and see who can adapt and who doesn’t have the chops.

People like to dog on floaters as being the worst but it is an actual strategy and can be an exciting game to watch if done properly (think Alison and June and even Andy vs someone intolerable like Kevin) but the worst, the absolute WORST game to watch (and I imagine, the worst type of HG to try and play with inside of the house - as evidenced by Kaysar’s frustration) is a coaster. Someone who goes to sleep for the first half or even 2/3 of the game because they’re an insulated “cool kid” and so they can.
I will say though that this year’s coasters are all putting in work (I don’t like Franzel but she’s a decent player) so that’s good at least. But some years. My gods. It’s all coast all the time save for a one or two puppet masters and then they don’t even win at the end. Oof.
Derrick really did break the game and taught everyone who followed that it’s about numbers and so form a majority with the best strategic and physical threats and then steamroll. I hate to say it but I think production needs to rethink not just the amount of physical comps but the actual structure of the game.
Agree
