My only disappointment about this event was getting sick Saturday and not getting to come and hang out for a bit with you all. Hopefully next time. I’m so thrilled to hear it was a success - but even better it seems like you all felt very fulfilled in the project.
Yes, it's a shame you couldn't be here, especially for Cuba Libre! Next time for sure, I should come to North America in 25 too. And after my move in april I will be able to do async with physical games, just saying...
Thanks for taking the time to play Molly House, and congratulations on the wargaming stand. Seemed like a real success, and gave me the chance to finally play Votes for Women too - what a great game.
GHS (Gesellschaft für historische Simulation) had (half of) a booth at the last Essen Spiel. They are basically the German Gronard Association. You might want to talk to them about bringing people into the hobby at Essen.
I didn't book in advance so missed out on a few war games you were showcasing. I'm very happy you had a successful weekend and I look forward to seeing you at UKGE.
So much great stuff here. Prey Another Day has become my family’s favorite game! Brett is an awesome guy. One of the first mentors I had when I got into game design (along with Matt Dunstan).
great idea I wonder if anyone is doing anything similar at Gen Con, something like this would be awesome! I am slowly getting my group into Wargames but I am learning too
You can find alot of Svea Rike games in Sweden they go for very cheap! Also I think one guy over at BGG translated all the cards. The game is great for being an old game! But one should use a few home made rules. Such as Semi random turn order for each turn, and hand-size limit. other then that its a super fun take that game with a good bunch of Swedish History. I have always said that the game is a really good foundation to build a newer and more modern game around.
Top job - you guys are great ambassadors for historical side of the hobby. I thought you would have like 4/5 games to demo - then you just kept mentioning more during the video 😅 It could be worth talking to Harold Buchanan about setting up a non-profit. That is what he and the SDHistCon guys have done. Although I imagine it is quite different in the States. I liked the bit about 'The roll of the dice, and the cheers'! now that's not something you get in many eurogames....
I would say though showing out of print may be bad, you could get a new player hooked then they find out they cannot actually own the awesome game you just taught them
I’ve tried twice to make a comment about the possibility of looking for funding from subscribers but my comment seem to get deleted. Not sure if RUclips is auto deleting.

Will do!

Thanks Jo, it was great to play the game with you, really looking forward to the release.
Thanks so much for coming to AireCon, it was great to have you there!!
Thanks Mark, we really appreciate you giving us this opportunity.
A truly heartwarming story of the adventures of a team of wargaming missionaries in Euro-land :)
Wargaming missionaries is such a nice term.
Great work all. I am sure this will grow and grow! Thoroughly enjoyed my first experience of Combat Commander Europe.
Thanks, it was great to have you with us even for a few hours. We hope that it will grow in the next couple of years.
CC:E is one of the best games out there! The card play is pure dead brilliant!

That's a good idea, would love to join forces in 25!
Would love to have you guys at Essen and I'd volunteer to support a Homo Ludens booth there in a heartbeat.

We probably won't be at UKGE this year, but we are hoping to do it in 25.
I almost went to airecon this year, would have been cool to see you there and play some games. hopefully this is the first of many :)
Hopefully we'll see you next year!

Oh, and Battle of Versailles was my surprise hit of 2023. My daughter and I have played it a bajillion times (give or take 50 trillion).
A very nice guy and an extremely fun game. It was great to meet with him. Same for me, battle of Versailles was my greatest surprise of 23.
Lot's of cool games were played!
Indeed they were!

I couldn’t make it to Airecon. Haven’t been yet. But am going to UKGE. I so hope that there is something like this at there too.

Awesome effort all!
Thank you so much 😀

Yes, the core system looks really interesting as a base to build upon. Any help to get one of those cheap Swedish copies would be GREATLY appreciated.
@@HomoLudens1871 Maybe you can ask Matilda, from Milda Matilda games? She can most def get you a copy :)
I will come to PunchedCon to teach Intro to Modern Trick-Taking, travel and accommodation paid of course ;)
Deal!

I could be interested. I haven't been to AireCon before, it looks good.

Sir! Are you the french youtuber? Keep it up!
No Joke, someone literally called me that at AireCon.

That's weird, did it contain a link? In also can't find your original comment.
@@HomoLudens1871 I dared to mention a word which began with P, ended with n, and had atreo in between!
I’ve commented twice but my comments don’t appear. Trying again.
