Me and the whanau had a much needed holiday at Clarks beach holiday park. The wind was very gusty during our stay. However, this morning there was a very small fishing window, so off I went.
If you haven't kayak fished in the Manukau harbour - DON'T DO IT! The tidal currents are very strong! I highly recommend you go with an experienced person/persons. Please ensure you wear and carry the appropriate safety gear before you attempt to fish the Manukau.

I used to live there and never fished there, that was a beauty that you got, lots of scollops used to be there, just walk out at low tide. Yum.
It looks very fishy from Clarks to grahams beach. The shallows are along the coastline look highly suitable for kayak fishing. Will be exploring this area more often.

Manukau is merky ... so get a bit of bling on those stray lines & up your catch another 50% ... wished i had of known your camping dates as i was going to tow you to my Legend spots ... Blind folded of coarse ... He he !!
