  • The IFP's Thami Ntuli has been elected as KwaZulu-Natal's Premier, defying fierce opposition from the Umkhonto WeSizwe Party and the EFF. Voting to elect the legislature's Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Premier dragged on well into the evening. This was due to a number of delays by the MK Party and EFF raising objections throughout the process, including the consultation of the Chief Justice with regard to having party agents present to oversee the voting process.

We need experience and ability in running the province. Driving a taxi or being a conductor does not give the skills to administer a Province. KZN deserves better and Premier Ntuli will shine.

Dear Mr Ntuli, the only way to win the minds and hearts of the people is to be a a servant leader. Bring service delivery to the long suffering citizens of this province. The IFP needs to prove its capabilities. The jury is not out yet. Your actions going forward will determine the future of your organisation. Kusezandleni zakho manje.

When Holomisa left the ANC he created UDM, Zuma took over ANC and some deluded people who supported Mbeki created COPE but Mbeki never left the ANC, when Malema was fired he created the EFF and none of those parties have governed. They all start very well on their first elections then the numbers slowly but surely go down every election. I still say, understand politics first before saying other people are stupid. This coalition intends to divide the province like they did in the 80s, well in this case a different generation who is fully conscious of their black identity and will not perpetuate black on black violence against one another. The imperialists agenda will not overcome the will of the people, sit back and watch the MK prove it's intellectual and tactical prowess.
