    "Everybody's always sorry."
    Doesn't that just sum it up in a nutshell?

      Yep. It sucks the joy out of the show, even in the 50's.

    Marianna Hill! This is a gem of a series. Like the Westerner series, 13 episodes were too few.

    I guess the world in 1960 wasn’t ready for a western like this with adult themes, a gunman who didn’t just wound your but killed you, even women. Rape was not usually subject matter for a family western. He was a paid gunman with no bones about it, no apology. Probably later at night time slot, would have worked better. Shame it was only 13 episodes though, I’m enjoying it.

    Filmmakers had so very much respect for preachers, though in fairness this one seemed self appointed.

    At 6:58, the sheriff says "The jury would be six close friends..." -Six? A six person jury is for misdemeanors. Was rape a misdemeanor in those days?

    Was the part of Clay played by a young Al Franken? Don't really see the resemblance, but the plot is very similar...

    Why do they have his arm in a sling for his role?

    • @prycerobertson4695
      @prycerobertson4695 3 года назад +1

      Because the character was injured during the Civil War. He was fighting in the Battle of Vicksburg when an explosion disabled his left arm.

      Thanks, but did they need to do this for the character any more than they did for Chester's limp on Gunsmoke? I mean, would it have made the show less appealing if they were not handicapped?

      @@roncorbyn507 Why did they make Muchy from Rawhide a bit slow & dumb .. I guess you would have to ask the producers.. maybe it makes it a bit different adds character.. the message a one armed man can do what an able bodied man can do.. in his own words “What else can a one armed man do”.

    what the heck? this whole episode was based on one kiss? fools

    • @TimFoxUkulele
      @TimFoxUkulele 8 лет назад +3

      I think after the kiss they sort of cut after the guy started to man handle the girl and you are supposed to imagine what went on after that. But, yeah, all because of a kiss this whole thing started.

    • @7colliemac
      @7colliemac 2 года назад

      They couldn’t be explicit about what happen after the kiss.. but left it to your imagination.. the inference was a lot more happen than just a kiss. That’s obvious.
