Adam Chapman the goalkeeper doesn't care he came up at the end and applauded them they just wanted to have a bit of banter. Every player gets chants against them they just need to learn to take it in their stride.
People who are frowning at this video are the Sky Sports generation who've never stepped foot in a football stadium. I'm Villa and even I can appreciate it. Fair play to the Blues fans and to the Blyth keeper.
Took it like a top bloke, hats off to him. It was just banter, although there was a lot of it to be fair to him lol. He reacted in the best way at the end and the crowd showed their appreciation. They're just lads having a laugh, they're not complete arseholes.
Nah I disagree. Its called him having to take abuse from fucking trashy Burmo fans who don't even have proper bins for christs sake. That's why burmo is so filthy as well as their mouths😂
Fucking hell, am I the only one who got touched towards the reception in the end? All that ruthless taunting throughout the game, only to receive a whole hearted applause from the same fans after the full time whistle. Absolutely beautiful.
In the late 80's I used to watch Arsenal at home and the Arsenal fans would always applaud the opposition keeper when he ran towards the goalmouth. Nearl all keepers would nod, wave, or similar. One who didn't was John Burridge and the crowd turned on him. The Birmingham fans gave the Blyth keeper a lot of stick but when the final whistle blew it was time to show some respect and appreciation.
Being a Goalie myself I enjoyed watching this so much. It is just a part of the game and something that makes English football outstanding to other leagues. Top banter from the fans, and he is taking it the way a player should take it.
It was good-natured. I used to watch Colchester United at their old ground in Layer Road. The terraces were very close to the pitch and the away team's goalkeeper needed a very thick skin.
It's banter when you chant, "You're gonna cry in a minute". That's acceptable. But hurling insults? Especially at someone who has done nothing to you? Come on lads. That's taking it very far.
Man United Forever You obviously have never heard some fans down in the national north or south. Then again you support a parent club meaning you probably haven't.
I was at the match and knowing our keeper he took it with good humour and the clapping was genuinely ment. Bcfc fans helped to make a great day for us. Great game

For fucks sake. Where have all the cricket fans come from? Did you not stay til the end of the video? Goalie took it on the chin. It's banter, it's jokes. He doesn't give a shit.
The people saying B'ham should be fined or the fans were out of order clearly have never been to a football match, or don't understand what a joke or banter is. As soon as that final whistle is blown, B'ham fans don't think of that keeper as a fattie or a wanker, they respect him as a player and person. But during the game, it is a given that every teems fans will dish out some banter. The FA Cup brings people and teams from different areas and leagues together, and the keeper clapping the fans at the end shows this great spirit.
Blimey , there are some delicate souls watching your vid's now Davo :) brilliant ending, I'm glad I took the time to read your comment at the start, Goalie & the rest of the Blyth players deserve the credit given. ,I'm waiting for the Full Davo video now .California Blue
You'll never see this at the Emirates or the Ethiad! I'm a Liverpool supporter, but this is missed hugely in our games on a Saturday afternoon kick offs. Used to go and watch my local team play and we used to love giving the opposition keeper stick like this. It's only a bit of friendly banter and it's entertainment. Atmosphere at grounds these days are like libraries. Too much of a 'corporate' feel and ordinary working class hardcore supporters muscled out.
Bravo to you English for your authentic football. You have been able to keep the spirit of our sport made up of a spirit of competition and confrontation while maintaining fair play and respect. This does not prevent you from gently mocking your opponent for fun and pleasure. It reminds me of my 80s/90s when I played in the Brittany league on often muddy pitches and mended nets. We called the sideline referee a station manager, our tackles were like butchers, the spectators were along the handrail, beer in hand. Keep your culture and traditions 🇬🇧🇫🇷👍
***** whether you like it or not it is part of the game and happens at most football matches. So you would prefer us to be quiet for the whole of the game? No wonder English football is going downhill, can't do or say anything these days without it upsetting certain people.
Wow some right touchy people on here... it was all banter, that is shown by the fans and the goalkeeper clapping each other at the end, guaranteed if he come down to St Andrews a lot of blues fans would buy him a pint, including myself. Respect!
Hilarious seeing non football fans crying over this, honestly players have heard worse from fans. Banter, part of the game, get used to it or don't watch. He's a grown man he can deal with it, even waves at the fans after
Keeper is a legend and this is the norm for football games. Just banter and jokes.. Even applauded the fans at the end. Also read description man, some people having fits in the comments over nothing
I loved how at the time, randoms on the internet were jumping to the defence of Blyth over this saying how Birmingham should have been fined for this abuse. This is standard stuff, especially at non league level. Those commenters would probably choke on their prawn sandwich when they hear how often keepers get the 'PAEDO! PAEDO!' treatment.
Amazing at how close the fans are allowed to be next to the field, in Argentina and other south American countries the closest you can get is probably 20 meters at a minimum. That´s what I call real pressure.
I used to hate Birmingham but not anymore after seeing this. This is fucking gold!! This is how all football fans should be! Love a bit of a banter haha
Top banter loved how final whistle blew they all applauded and all is forgiven the keeper applauded their humour back, what matchday is about we banter, we put the other team off abit but no hard feelings.

Any other fan hating on this video are just mad because they know their away support doesn't come close to Birmingham's, fact. No need to say it's going too far just because your fans don't compare hahahaha.
Miles better support than Blackburn brought to Croft Park, chanting like this honestly made it feel like you were taking the match seriously whilst they just turned up and quietly watched a flukey win before scuttling back down south.
This is the funniest video I’ve seen in a long time the English chants are always sooooooo good and English football fans are alongside German football fans the greatest fans in all of sports
Fair play to the goalie, took it in good jest at the end, doubt he gets that level of stick week in week out off the average non league away crowds so it must of been an experience! Over here in Ireland most of the infrastructure of the grounds are like Blyth's, very compact your almost on top of the pitch so you're at close quarters with the keeper behind the goal and the players on the pitch so there's all kinds of abuse getting thrown at players as its in earshot, sometimes they even hurl it back! It might get a bit nasty sometimes but fuck it it's all part of going the football! Great vid
Thank god someone on here actually gets it. I'm scrolling through the comments just cringing at all the oversensitive little girls getting their knickers in a twist.
Billy Miller Guess your a prawn sandwich eater then, There is nothing wrong with banter as you can see at the end of the video the keeper and fans applaud each other.
"Goalkeeper playing for the love of the game" shame the same can't be said for the bunch of degenerates acting like high school bullies. Most of them were probably twice my age, it's fucking despicable.

How do you explain the keeper coming over to the Blues fans at the end and clapping ? It's part of the game and he took it in good spirits. Relax yourself
