Hubby has never liked my Salisbury steak and I think it is all the 'standard' additives most recipes call for. Your way is just brilliant and I bet he'll love it. Thank you for filming it! Mina is so precious!!
oh Molly, if you guys give it a try let me know whatcha think! i agree, sometimes you can taste the meat tenderizer in some of those premade meals! LOL everyone likes it this way because its just 100% beef, no fillers. meat and potatoes. but the crock pot is what makes it so tender! i have tried it in the oven and its a no-go! haha
Made it for supper last night and it was so tender that even I could eat it! I had fresh mushrooms that needed using and they gave off extra liquid so I did have to add some cornstarch but it was delicious!!
All plates cleared in a family of five, (hubby went back for seconds)! The texture of the meat is fabulous! I added some liquid smoke to the gravy, and thickened it a little more, this gravy is sooo good! Everyone was totally satisfied, plus leftovers, and we are big eaters! winner, winner, Salisbury Steak dinner! I was referred to your site by Noreen's Kitchen, and boy am I glad I checked out this recipe today!

Salisbury steak is one of my all time favorite meals....thanks for the crock pot recipe. I will definitely try that way the next time. Anytime you don't have to babysit something is really great... Thanks for this recipe.

Better Than Bouillon is the name I believe you tried to refer to, if I am not mistaken, and it was cornstarch mixed well with water and then stirred in to thicken the gravy if you do not wish to thicken it with more beef bouillon.
Suggestions:
I also add Better Than Bouillon Mushroom Base, and I usually add 2 teaspoons right into the gravy and stir it well. Along with that I also add a canning jar of my home made freshly canned sliced mushrooms ,which I keep in the pantry just for these occasions. Their Better Than Bouillon Ham Base is also a winner!!!
Sometimes I also just add my home canned mushroom broth, instead of using home canned beef broth.
I alternate depending on the flavors I want each time I make my crock pot Salisbury steak with freshly made garlic buttermilk mashed potatoes, and I usually also serve home canned green beans as well.
I have become allergic to many foods this year unbeknown to me, so now I cannot eat many convenience foods or canned foods, and do miss those conveniences in a pinch.

I'm making this for dinner tonight and what I did to get an extra beefy flavour to the gravy is when I removed the meat from the pan cause I don't have a big grill pan like yours is I added about a half cup or so of white wine and scrapped the meaty bits and flavour left on the pan and let it reduce a bit then I added it to the crock pot. Omg the flavour it added is to die for. And at the same time the pan got all cleaned up so it was easier to wash after.
Mmm Mmm. Looks great. My gravy mix is : 2 Tbsp corn starch, 2 Tbsp billion in 2 Cups water. blend & simmer ..

I'm totally making this! I've never made my own, and the frozen kind isn't exactly appetizing. I have this awesome electric griddle I got at Walmart for 10.00, i use it to brown my meats for the crock pot, or the pressure cooker, it has a drain cup on the side to collect the grease. best ten bucks I ever spent, does pancakes, eggs, bacon temperature is adjustable, so I can crank it up to 400 degrees and get a great seer! I cook for a large family to, you might want to grab one, I don't know how I lived without mine! oh and its light weight and easy to clean.....sorry I sound like a commercial lol
NICE FIND!!!!!!! I cant wait to hear how you like this. As a kid i used to LOVE when my mom would buy Salisbury steak hungry man dinners. hahaha but....they are NOT the same they were when i was a kid. THIS tastes almost the same, but better! hahaha

Yum! Allegedly you can make burgers right in the Crock-Pot. I'm trying it today with your Big Mac sauce and Mickey D's onions :) Finger's crossed lol

Heather, it's a winner. Tweaked it a bit, only because I didn't have everything I needed but we'll have it again for sure. I did add some Worcestershire sauce but can't tell you how much, do know I'll cut back a bit next time. LOL

I made this tonight and it was so good! I didn't have the burger seasoning but I used the Chicago steak seasoning. I also use the Tones base with the gravy and the seasonings you used!! My picky kids had seconds!!!!

The Kneady Homesteader I know right lol. I meant to put it in the slow cooker in the morning but I was running late for work. I ended up putting it in the pressure cooker for 9 min and it was perfect. I would recommend this recipe to everyone! Thank you for always sharing your recipes. That looks wonderful. It is very close to how I fix mine also. Our spice may be a little different but all Yummy. It made me think that would be good to use the french onion soup that you can and put up to make that! Hummmm may have to try that too lol. Huggs and Blessings.

I'd just freeze the leftovers in small amounts for two or one. The sauce should protect the meat from freezer burn.

I like to fry my hamburgers then fry my fresh mushrooms in the leftover grease. I like to use fresh mushrooms because lots of canned mushrooms come from China .
