Ive watched this so many times now and even forgot to comment. Let me just say this, after your covers with the huge amount of launchpads, I didnt think it could get any better. But youve truly outdone yourself once again. Im just absolutely stunned of your creativity and passion about launchpadding and led lights in general. Im very proud to say that Ive been around when your channel only had about 50 subs. Even back then I told you that you were going to be big someday. And here you are. yo, lumin.. hear me out. actually, to everyone here. i spent the last 20 minutes typing this. not even saying this to get to the top of the comments despite popular belief; just want you to read thoroughly.
first off, i've heard multiple remarks that you tend to make others jealous. hell; i've been fuckin jealous myself to the end of the universe and back, i'll openly admit that in front of everyone here. in the launchpad community i view that as a hard thing to do, especially with the already present controversy of "how to make launchpad videos" going around, so then there's the debate of a "good launchpad vid". now is that a bad thing for you? surely, a bad emotion like that's enough of a shitshow for everyone !...right?
i mean... people see that you're talented. people see that you put an effort. but i don't really think there's as many people who know how much value each project means to you. like this one-- there's really no technology you found anywhere else that would truly match up to the quality you wanted. no big technology out there that would serve as an "easy way out" for such a professional work. no big LED contraption that was already out there able to be recreated with spare money. so you improvised. you made your own contraption that would be the deal-breaker for this video. using a few basis materials you spent the time and effort to invent a new layout for this video. exactly what is taught in making big projects. what i'm practically saying here is; you caught the big lesson here. for a great result with hard effort, you had the time to switch it up and make marvelous changes in the adventure that was already presented to you. if a video like this was done, with little time and effort, the appreciation you and others would have for it would degrade, as more people follow along to copy it. THATS why people are jealous. they think it's talent that fuels your videos. fuck talent; it's an overrated fucking philosophy that everyone's got out there. the real strategy is in the love and soul you pour into the work you do.
... and as a love letter to the launchpad community, i just want to say. don't let this man be the man you're jealous of. all that stuff i've spoken about just shows what he's really trying to do out here. he isn't meant to be the EXAMPLE of a launchpadder you must be. don't go out there and copy his design, go out there and take a path in the community you've never seen !! let him be the inspiration instead, let him prove to you that taking a dangerous path in the road is rewarding. he was once nothing. we all were. fuck-- we didn't even exist at one point. now this dude's out here building contraptions and stuff-- i mean UUGHHH, how much more original can you get (hell, you'll even prove me wrong for that)?? HE is the wake up call that all of you must shape your own adventure !!
you go out there and keep inspiring people bud. some are jealous, some in fact just being bystanders-- but what it all sums up to is, all of us are proud of you in some way. you are what shapes us as a community. you had inspirations to guide you in the past; now you've switched roles and you're out there inspiring others. so i want this channel to keep going. i want this to inspire, not as an example but as an illustration that you can be ORIGINAL, to all out here. videos have much more meaning than pixels on a screen. they serve a story. they serve endorphins. THATS what makes you stand out from everyone else. other people need to see that. so keep it going, you legend !!!

A living example of what people should do.
I mean for all of those reading this are probably aware that there are some CRAZY launchpadders out there, Kaskobi being a big one.
But the thing is, the kind of stuff you manage to pull off competes with those big launchpadders out there. Pretty much all the time you win.
Trust me - whenever I see a new video that has been uploaded by Kaskobi, Pro Launchpadder or SoNevable, I think to myself "huh, a new video. Let's see how cool it is!"
But whenever I see something new has been uploaded by yourself, I think to myself: "Holy shit, what creative idea has this guy come up with this time and shapeshifted into a masterpiece?"
You're launchpadder. Yes.
You're light show fanatic. Without a doubt.
And you are a lot more than that too.
But when I watch your videos, I like to call it magic.
And it's a type of magic that I feel some of those popular launchpadders need.

at around 1:43 into the video if you look at the center of light effect you will see Lumin Emblem imbedded in the center of the light show. It happens so fast you would have to freeze it at that point to notice it. Now that's genius. Never noticed it till now.

This is probably the 10th time i've come back to this video, Both because youtube has autoplayed onto the next video before i could write a comment and then forgot about it (thanks youtube) and because this is truly amazing, And i can't add to anything everyone else has already said in terms of compliments and ways to describe your videos. Its been nice seing you improve, seing you respond to comments, seing you being so dedicated to your craft and actually finishing your work as an amazing lightshow artist and performer. I've been remaking your solitaire cover but ableton lite friendly (chain lights and all) And analyzing the original project gave me some insight on just how much thought and care goes into your performances. And that was back THEN, i can only imagine what its like now. Seing my name on that the place cover was truly an honour, Im gonna try to do my part back. I can't wait until i see you again.

You know, you really need a miracle to happen for you that really brings the career for you that can help you continue this past what you ever thought was possible for yourself. Your talent definitely shows for it. It's unfortunate that this couldnt have been shot in the dark, however it still does look shell-shockingly good for that. I suspect that the camera you would need in order to catch all of those tiny, amazing details all on the dark would be insanely expensive, but who knows - maybe the creator has a reason for not doing that, maybe hes saving it for the big one that couldnt top this. All in all I can't wait to see the next one come out.
Little tip too! If you wanted, you could grab some tall, clear stands or cylinders of some kind and maybe use a few of those to change up the setting! You could even pop some mirrors in there too ;D. From the cinematic shots, to the detail in every beat and movement, to the crazy time and dedication it took to make this, you continue to amaze and inspire us all.

When I first watched “The Place,” I thought, “there’s no way he could top this... that was awesome” But a few months later, I watch “Owen in the Rain.” At that point I was astounded and I really did believe you couldn’t top that light show. But guess what...a year later, you upload this video. And I must say, you’re creativity does not meet an end. you continue to amaze me and many others in this community and I hope you continue to do so.
“The Tracery” was really cool and sure, it was hard to keep up with at times, but beyond that, it really stepped up the possibilities with launchpad performances. We no longer need to be constricted to just a few leds at the touch of our fingers.
