thats my ex too, he decided he didnt want to be married to me anymore, so he started an affair with someone else while we were still legally married, for 30 years,and started using drugs so i ignored him. and i got the uncontested divorce 3 years later which he didnt even show up to court for, so whos the adult now?

This was wrong he was not a mean husband she played her part in his infidelity not that cheating is right but he looked like he was trying but she made it clear she is a mother not a wife.

He could’ve been more understanding in this situation but you have to understand his side. He was wrong to cheat but he was prob relying on others attention because he’s not getting it from his wife.

How can she worry so much about him when she pushes him away, and neglects him? It's almost as if she doesn't love him, and only thinks about herself. Yes what he did was wrong, but can you blame him for dealing with years, and years of this same treatment?
Actually it wasn’t her it was him.He was the one who took her for granted and basically pushed her aside for his own selfish needs.

I'm certainly ambivalent regarding this story. Some women neglect their husband, give all their time and energy to their children and their wants, leaving the husband to just tag along...until another woman takes an interest. Certainly, children are your priority, but you have to put each other first on occasion to keep the sparks flying. It's interesting that he asked, "when is the last time we went to a restaurant", which indicates they haven't had a date night in a long time. He has been dealing with years of neglect. Further, her daughter looked grown, and ready to make her way in the world. Okay, I understand the "empty nest" syndrome, but she wouldn't even allow her husband to hold her. He's thinking, we finally have the house to ourselves, a glass of champagne, and maybe some afternoon delight, but all he got was tears. Now, it's night, and she's sleeping, and hears the text coming through; clearly, she didn't even know that he was gone. THEN, she has the audacity to say she was worried about him. If he did find some affection in the arms of another woman, it doesn't surprise me. I'm not condoning his infidelity, but neither will i condone her neglect.
Both are responsible or irresponsible when it comes to their individual needs. We women always want to blame the man, but what are we doing to compound the problem?

So, I agree with the man about the freedom. They finally get to be alone, go out, have privacy etc. He was being decent, not mean. Mom was a wee snarly towards him and I understand she was upset about her daughter but she could have chilled a bit.. Parents, especially moms, tend to loose themselves completely into their kids (as the daughter says in the end) and forget to care for themselves. Many moms I know that have kids going off to college or moving out, moms been preparing for it.. it’s something parents think of as their kids grow and grow.. So in this video, guy was right, cheating tho is a no no and what happened between them didn’t warrant him to go cheat.. that was cruel... and it’s good it happened tho cuz mom now knows what he’s really about...
She acts like she is blameless in this breakup. Wow! She had one daughter. I know women who have three+children, and still make time for themselves and their husbands. When was the last time, she styled her hair, put on a pretty dress, bought her husband a gift, or even said, I love you. I'm sorry, but she did not show one iota that she cared about him, and how he felt. I'm certainly ambivalent concerning who is at fault, even though I don't condone infidelity, I'm not condoning neglect either. The truth is she did not want to be in that marriage anymore. So easy to always blame the man. Sad.
