Can you explain to me, how it was that after I fell off a boat as a Child and drowned- after my last waking thought and everything faded to black- in my surprising next thought, I was suddenly looking down at my body doing the "dead mans float" and I was confused as to how I was down there and up here too- much followed from here, but in that moment, how was I thinking and seeing when my brain and eyes were down there in my body. Most things were eventually figured out, but that question is still with me. I do have an idea but I would like to know if you have a perspective that I have not considered

I worked in aged care 7 years. As soon as a resident started talking about passed family/friends visiting we knew it wouldn't be long before they joined them. They were always happy to see them. One even begin to introduce us (care staff) to her family. Even a cousin she sort of forgot (they died as a small child). She passed away not even 8 hrs later (my friend worked morning shift. I worked evening shift that day).
Wow and for this reason I'd love to be around more elderly people. I hear this from nurses in hospitals when people are ready to pass. But I still have a hard time believing this. Do they really start seeing and talking to their dead loved ones? It's like they are halfway passed and halfway in earth as the dying process takes awhile? My grandmother just passed, actively passing two weeks, the dying process is a phenomenon. You literally see their eyes gloss over partially understanding you there but not at the same time. The experience left me feeling like a non believer in anything because death arrives quickly as soon as the brain shuts down. One moment here and the next poof. I have no words, I'm still in utter shock to know what happened. I really wish I could witness someone really talking to their loved ones as they gradually pass. My grandmother did not talk when she was ready. 😢

I've watched a bunch of near death experience interviews (NDE's) in RUclips and the people say it's like taking off a tight jacket. You're an amazing and powerful soul trapped in a small package. Like the genie says in Aladdin, "Phenomenal cosmic power! Itty bitty living space." When they are told they have to go back because their journey is not done on earth, they wonder how they can fit back into that tiny body.
They also say they miss their body about as much as they miss their old beat up car that they just got rid of. Sometimes when they are leaving their body(NDEs), they say they don't recognize their body as theirs. It's just some lady, or some man laying there. So I guess in that way you can think of your body like a car. It gets you to where you need to go. It also does a better job and gives you less trouble if you take care of it, but once you sell it for something better, you won't spend much time missing it.

When we are here we learn how to do stuff, whether it be playing an instrument or picking up girls. Do we take this knowledge to our next life? Could this explain why someone can be a natural at certain things. One might take ages learning the guitar while another can just make it sound good in a month or so.
