This version by Lucy Thomas, even as good as the Bobby Hatfield version is, sets the bar even higher. Performance nuances are part of it, but that VOICE!
I think Lucy is the best. Lucy is pure and genuine. She does not need to use any gimmicks or flaunt her body like the others do. Her voice is gold, unlike any I've ever heard. And her inner and natural outer beauty is a rarity in the world today. Lucy is in a class of her own. This cover by Lucy is out of this world. Award winning.

Thx for this reaction - Wow, she is something else! Shout out to the immortal Bobby Hatfield - but Lucy just has a way of covering historic/iconic beautiful songs and making them even more beautiful. IMO that is exactly what she has done here yet again. Her voice/vocal skills and performance skills are magnificent!

Her voice is impeccable. Her range is spectacular. I' m not impressed with the timing of her phrasing. She drags the notes beyond the count. It's an uncomfortable delay, robotic, lacking spontaneity. If only she could rectify this error, she would be untouchable.
