    I picked up my unit today. I purchased the edger and weedeater combo. Can't wait to get started.
    I purchased mine at my local lawn dealer. You're right if you would buy the solid units it will cost you more upfront in the start up. The only downside is if your engine brakes down on a job. It will cost you three parts of your job.
    Go Bucs! #StPeteNative

    I recently bought the srm 225 now I’m thinking of returning it and upgrading to the PAS, I still have a few days left to return it, I like having the options of different attachments.

    Hey! Had a question for you. Did the straight shaft edger work for you? I was looking at the Home Depot website and it mentioned it didn’t support straight shaft edgers. Thanks in advance for a response! 🙂

  • @BlairAir
    @BlairAir 4 года назад +2

    Did you not check on Echo's website... they state that the 225 does NOT support the straight shaft edger. Not sure if its a power requirement as the 225 is only 21.2 cc's . I tried to get the kit PAS225VP for $299 with curved shaft, was out of stock & only online. Store Manager gave me separates for same price. Saved $70 just for asking! Love the echo stuff too and like that the 225 is LIGHT! I'm 60 and not a big guy. Perfect!

      I didn't see that it does not support the Straight Shaft Edge Trimmer but I can say it works great. Maybe this will hurt the longevity of the Power Head by putting too much strain on the unit but i haven't had any issues. I'll be sure to update everyone if I have any issues in the future, Thanks for the comment and of course the view!

    One more, lol. Did you get the articulating hedge attachment? I have a huge Holly that triming the top is a nightmare. Be nice to 90 degree the clippers (or 100-110 degrees lol)

    • @vividlawnlandscape6056
      @vividlawnlandscape6056  4 года назад

      I did not get the articulating hedge trimmers but have found this one works very well. As I said in another comment I have had to use a little giant ladder to trim the tops of some very large bushes but even with the articulating head I still think I would have had to use the ladder. Thanks for the comment and of course the view!

    Hey man nice review 👍🏻. I’m thinking about picking up this piece as I want to get into starting my own business in the next year or so and think this is ideal for the ability to have so many different attachments for different jobs. How is this unit holding up for you since you got it? If you don’t mind me asking. Also def would recommend a back pack blower if you didn’t pick one up yet. I know your going for echo but I just got the Husqvarna 570 bfs a week ago and it’s a huge improvement compared to what I was using originally. Even though I do believe the hand held blowers do serve their purpose for quick clearing in a small area. Either way good luck with this piece and the business!

      The PAS system has been amazing so far in my first year of business. I love the ability to quickly switch heads to attack different aspects of my work. Sure I could be a little quicker with a dedicated system but for the money I don't think this can be beat. My business has been cranking along with almost two dozen accounts and I've yet to have any issues with my ECHO PAS system. I think if you take care of it it will take care of you! Thanks for the comment and of course the view!

    Local guy on craigslist has a 1yr old(non commercial use) Echo X-Series PAS 2620 w/ straight trimmer for only $180. I would buy it but three weeks with near zero work has me completely broke.

    • @vividlawnlandscape6056
      @vividlawnlandscape6056  4 года назад +1

      WisconsinEric that’s it!!! It’s the PAS 2620. I’m interested now in what the differences are. Looks like I’ve got some research to do. I didn’t put it in the video but I went and did a trimming job following the filming of this unboxing. The hedge trimmers were even better than I had hope! These tools are great and so versatile for a solo guy looking to save money on his initial overall set up but still have the ability to offer full lawn and landscape services. Thanks for the view and comment once again! Stay safe and check back again soon!

      @@vividlawnlandscape6056 Yes I agree. That edger and hedge trimmer you bought would be the first two attachments I would purchase. That sweeper attachment looks as though it may work well for cleaning up dirt/treeshavings after tree stump grinding at my tree trimming/removal job. That sweeper requires the larger motor of the 2620.

      I've used the hedge trimmers a few times now and all i can say is wow! The PAS system is awesome! Its so quick and easy to switch between attachments. I will say with the trimmers I would recommend getting the longer setup with the padded grip. I didn't know if id need the extra length but in each application now its been critical to have that extra length on the trimmer attachment. I 100% recommend the trimmers to anyone that owns the PAS system and of course has trimming to do. Thanks for the watch and comment!

    whats cost for that unit ? and how much for extra attachments? thanks

    • @vividlawnlandscape6056
      @vividlawnlandscape6056  4 года назад

      I'd have to go back and look but I've purchased everything from my local Home Depot. I think the initial set up for the PAS Power Head and String Trimmer was $280. I then purchased the Straight Shaft Edger for $150 and the Hedge Trimmer for $170. Seems like a lot but if I were to buy three dedicated units I would have prob spent closer to $1000. Like I said before I could prob shave some time of each account with dedicated equipment but for someone just starting out this works great and keeps the initial investment down. Earn that money and then reinvest. I haven't felt the need yet to go to an all dedicated system. Thanks for the comments and of course the view!

  • @roadstar499

    you need to be able to adjust the angle on that hedge trimmer..like when you are topping tall hedges etc.... i see it is only straight....whats up with that? thanks

    • @vividlawnlandscape6056
      @vividlawnlandscape6056  4 года назад

      ECHO makes a PAS hedge trimmer that can be adjusted but it was more expensive and at the time I didn't think it was necessary. I can say that this one works great and has not been an issue. I've used a little giant ladder on a few properties in order to trim the tops of very large bushes. Maybe that adjustment would have helped but I do still think I would have needed the ladder. Thanks for the comment and of course the view.
