Complete coverage of Event 7 from the Men's and Women’s Individual competitions at the 2022 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, TX. The final event of Saturday, “Texas Oak,” brought a classic implement of Strongman over to the CrossFit ranks, as both the men and women tackled the log lift at escalating weights.
This unique challenge opened the door for Roman Khrennikov to potentially leapfrog Justin Medeiros into first place, but Chandler Smith had every intention of stealing the spotlight for himself by day’s end. On the women’s side, Laura Horvath was right on track to make it an incredible 5 straight event wins, until Dani Speegle made the Texas Oak her breakout moment of the weekend.

I'm confused. At 1:27:40 Ricky's lift at 280lbs was after the rotate call. Wasn't the standard that they had 45sec to lift? He picked it up after the 3-2-1 Rotate call. Not hating on Ricky I'm trying to understand the rules.

We don;t see when exactly he picked this up. He could lift it and be in that lowe position for those few seconds.

I didn't quite get the timing system. I was under the impression that you had from the "lift" command until the lifter hears "rotate". When the rotate command is heard, the lifter has timed out.

Super late response. I could be wrong but my guess is the dots are from what's known as cupping therapy. Michael Phelps would exhibit similar markings on his body during his competition era from said therapy.
