I'm really enjoying this palette. The mattes are SO beautiful. The multichromes are ok but I definitely prefer my glittery indie multichromes. For me the mattes are 100% why I got the palette.
Just from years of experience with ND mattes (and ND tutoritals), try placing the deepest shade in the outer corner first, build the corner, and then use the transition and other mattes to blend it out. The deep shades especially are happiest going on first and then the blending is very minimal. I don't think it's patchiness, it's just how she formulates her deeper shades because it's how she applies them. I don't always do this, but I've never had a matte fail to blend well when I do. They're just made differently. Although I love your purple look, but since you mentioned it, I thought I would say.
Yes, this. In almost all of her tutorials, she explains to place the darkest shade first. I know some folks think you should be able to use makeup however you want (and that’s fine), but no one gets mad at Pat McGrath for using Mehron liquid to get her particular iconic wet look with her palettes, and I think this is similar in concept. Denona had a particular way she uses makeup, and she makes her products for that way-they’ll work with other applications, but work best with what they were designed for.
The looks are pretty, but I feel that several palettes would give the same result at a lower price point. Also, those multichromes have no wow factor at all.
I must say you look spectacular with the voluminous hair 😍 I love it ! And fun fact in Slovak we call those multi optioned cold food stands "swedish tables" (it's literal translation) 😀
I can't justify that pricetag for pretty mattes. I needed those triochromes to perform as well. I'm so happy you're doing several looks with palettes so we, who are on the fence, can make educated choices from our needs and not from our wants *edit: I'm aware nobody needs makeup, I meant more like "filling a gap we wanted to fill" instead of "oh pretty - impulse buy"
@@Utriedit215 yes I understand your point of view too. It's a pretty important part of my daily routine as well - even though I'm not going anywhere, I don't want to look/feel like a swamp monster haha
The mattes were more disappointing than the “triochromes.” I love purple eyeshadow and these are both the most expensive and most patchy of all my purples.
I bought the palette - knowing the chromes were dismal compared to indie - but wanted it to complement my darker toned ND collection. Greens and purples are my favourite. This green look is basically my every day office look - except with a full on multi swiped over the lid. 😝😂 Love the hair! Very glam! 👌
Would love to see more looks with the BH palettes like Trendy in Tokyo and Blueberry muffin! Or even Book of Magic. I feel like no one talks about those! 💜
I think because they're cheap palettes if you want to know how they work just buy them people want to make sure that there expensive palettes is worth it nobody really needs to check on a $10 $15 palette
@@Utriedit215 Angie is great at reviewing both expensive and inexpensive palettes. That’s why I love her channel. I’m sure she wouldn’t discriminate just cause it’s a cheap palette lol. Colourpop is under $20 and almost every makeup artist on the platform reviews those. 😂
Really interesting when you spoke in the beginning about Swedish words being used in english. I’ve been learning Swedish for the past 6 months (potentially being asked to move there for work in a year or so) and am finding a HUGE number of similarities between Scots (an english sub dialect) and Swedish. For example, in Scots we have the verb ‘to flit’ that doesn’t exist in english, which means to move house. We call children ‘bairns’. A ‘braw’ day is a good day. I’m sure you see where I’m going with this. There are loads of words like this that are so similar, that a Scottish person would know that an English person might not. And I bet you never learn them as a Swede learning english, which is a shame. It’s definitely helping me remember my Swedish vocabulary! 😂 It fascinates me how languages evolve like this though. In Scotland we also naturally roll our ‘r’s and pronounce ‘wh’ words (like whale) with a similar blowy sound you make with ‘sj’ words. The Vikings must have spent more time in Scotland! Other than that though... Swedish is a made up language. Has to be. You can inhale to say yes?! Wtf?! 😂
That‘s so interesting! I‘m german and learning swedish as well and there are also similarities. Funny though many names appear somehow. Björn is a male name, I didn‘t know it meant bear 😄
I’m learning Icelandic, because why not go for one of the hardest languages, and JFC some of the pronunciations on inhale. Don’t even get me started on declinations. Or numbers having gender. But it is fun to see how influential Old Norse was, across all the Germanic and Nordic languages.
Thank you for showing some looks with this palette. I was actually confused when I watched some reviews on YT. Some of them said "oh what for a difficult color story" then others mentioned "hmm, that's what I call a neutral eyeshadow palette"😳 ...it just proves how diffrerent our preferences are. I like the palette a lot, and I think the color story is easy to work with, even for beginners. Your 2nd look is my favorite one. 🙂 BTW: The shade VR Sexatr. from PatMcgrath's M'ship VIII, d.r.Artistry palette is similar to ND color flip, MR.:)👍🙋♀️
I finally got a Natasha Denona palette just to have one in my collection and I’m glad it was a $65 one. The mattes are very patchy and some of the shimmers and metallics have a lot of fallouts and at the end of the day I see they have migrated are around my eye area and cheeks whether I sprayed it or not. I stick with my BH cosmetics and Juvia’s Place palettes.
Thank you for doing another video using this palette! I love both of the looks you did. I always like seeing videos using a product again with more looks. ❤️
Not sure why this is not getting as many views. I love this palette. The shades that complement the duo chromes are inspired and i prefer the fact that the duo chromes are easier to use on my mature eyes. I love the green look the best...it was the color that attracted me to the palette
I’d normally say I liked the purple look better because I love purple looks but I think my favorite was the green look. That matte inner corner got me! So pretty! 😍💚 Really looking forward to your review on this palette next month.
The purple looks is pretty much how I place my shadows all the time! A simple and straightforward way, usually adding a second, lighter shimmer on top of the lighter matte whenever possible. So I am especially drawn to that one ( and I don’t wear liner because of my hooded eyes 😆)
Pretty looks. Back in the 60"s there was a restaurant that had a "Smorgasbord" on the weekends. It was the first buffet in the region. This was in Wisconsin, predominantly settled by Germans with some Swedish in part of the state.
I like both looks! 🤗 My eyes are always drawn to the bottom left quad of the palette for some reason, but I also like Andradite and Ion. This will be a fun palette to play with during the spring and summer. 😊
I love the multi chrome liner! These looks are so cool. It’s nice to see a colourful look that is achieved with a simpler technique. I’m a little intimidated by the very structured looks, but I could probably recreate something like this. Thanks, Angie!

I knew you would give me the best way to use this palette. I got it on sale for black Friday and I love it. I need more toned down shine and I can totally get away with this palette for court. Not many attorneys are rocking a full beat lol Even the lighter pastel shades really show up on me. Take care in your move and welcome to America. 🤩
Yes, in English, tungsten is pronounced as "tongue-sten"! I have the same (but opposite) problem as you, because Swedish is my second language so it's very difficult for me to say the English-borrowed words in Swedish! Thanks for another great video Angie, I especially liked the purple look!
Sadly buffets and smoregesborgs may be a thing of the past thanks to communicable diseases. Love both of the pretty looks. I'm going to to try them both! So far I like this palette. The lime green multi-chrome liner and bright matte inner corner looks bomb!
I loved both looks a lot! That 2nd look though. I like playing with liners like that. I love that grungy green color in that vault collection by Jaclyn Hill (can't remember the name of the palette). I'll use a green pencil liner or a yellow pencil liner and put that grungy green color on it. It is so awesome! Makeup is so versatile! It gets dark here around 5pm now too. So sad to see summer leave. Looking forward to winter though. I love having the fireplace roaring, and no tv or other noises in the house. Hey Angie! Happy Wednesday to my favorite happy clown! Have you seen the new Byredo campaign? The ads are so beautiful, the (small!) Eyeshadow palette is gorgeous and the colorstory is so unique. Looks right up your alley! 🤡🔥💖
I have this palette. Its definitely not multicromes at all, chrome yes, thats it. Myself as well as many others thought the name of the palette Triochromes meant 3 trio chrome, shade shifting colors. It turns out, its being said it means 3 chrome shades. And thats exactly what you get. I feel duped, along with quite a few others. We can get chrome shades, prettier and less in cost, and I certainly have soft pastels in other palettes. I'm not loving it, and it is the first time ever, I'm returning an eyeshadow palette, much less a ND palette, and I have nearly all...it's pretty to look at, 😆 lol if thats whats your looking for...
Your voice is so soothing. I love playing your videos while I work to make my mundane management life more interesting. P.S. I play all of your ads so you get the $.
Gorgeous!🤩💚🤩 I loved both looks!!💜💚💜 I understand why she made the multichromes muted but I'm still disappointed that she did 😕 it could have been really spectacular 🤩 you're making it work though 😍🤗😍
Oh, Angelica, you made my day - I've met a Karen-like customer today, totally ruined my mood but now I'm feeling OK after watching this video. I really like that purple look, but the tip about how to use black liner to amp up some other colour is very useful to know. What I noticed while studying Swedish during middle and high school (compulsory in Finland, but not always for the foreigner students like me) that there are a lot of similarities in Swedish and Estonian. I think they're loan words from Swedish as we were under Sweden's rule for a while or two, so no wonder... And I've noticed personally that I understand rikssvenska better than the version we have in Finland, it sounds so weird in here... It's the same with English to me, I can undestand the different dialects and accents of English but when the Finns speak it, it's like they're speaking some alien language to me. Pronunciation is the key and that is the one thing Finnish school education lacks.
I loved that lavendar eye you wore in yesterday's video with this pallette. 💜💜💜 but wait... that green look is beautiful too.💚💚 I never really know that I'm poor until I'm thinking about buying ND or PML pallettes. That pallette is so pretty... but it seems like everyone reviewing it is saying it's good, but not pristine quality. If this was $65, I'd be buying it, but at $129, I just can't.
I spent like $114-ish at Lethal Cosmetics, just on eyeshadows (plus a lippie for free international shipping), and got the Aftershock palette AND a whole other 12-pan full of all of the colourful mattes I wanted. To me, that seems like much better value. And then I can reorganise both however I find most useful. 🤷🏻♀️ I almost never end up loving all eyeshadows in a pre-made palette, though.
If you have issues applying this, I’m not going to have a chance lol. I like the color story idea but in practice it looks like you could’ve done better with bh or devinah or Juvia.
very curious to see what your long term opinion on this palette will be
I'm really enjoying this palette. The mattes are SO beautiful. The multichromes are ok but I definitely prefer my glittery indie multichromes. For me the mattes are 100% why I got the palette.

💜💜💜 but wait... that green look is beautiful too.💚💚
I never really know that I'm poor until I'm thinking about buying ND or PML pallettes.
Love the 2nd look,,you look stunning!
I'm really happy I got this palette 😁🧡
The fallout on the purple shade was NUTS lol
Lovely looks.
If you have issues applying this, I’m not going to have a chance lol. I like the color story idea but in practice it looks like you could’ve done better with bh or devinah or Juvia.
