I highly recommend the movie "A League of Their Own" as a family movie. It's not only excellent but you could explain to the children about all the men being away at war and women stepping into new experiences because of it. A good history lesson.

Thank you Kim, I'm not the only one who washes and reuses freezer/ziplock bags. My granny taught me this as a kid, because she went through the great depression and wwll. Until she got a washer and drier in her house, she would take me to wash the clothes at the laundromat, and then would bring much of it home to hang on the line lol. I learned how to save with her, she was such a sweet person who was under appreciated. Good to see you lived after drinking water 62 day's after the filter light came on, that was funny, you always crack me up. G-d bless you and your beautiful family.

Kim, I just wanted to thank you for your videos :) I am a fellow momma of 5 tho mine are getting older now (I am 46) my kids are 17, 19, 22,23 and 25. Yes I spent all of my 20s pregnant lol! But my point of this message is to say thank you for your amazing videos. I found out in January of this year I had a huge fibroid uterus measuring the size of a 6 month pregnancy and would need to have a hysterectomy. I have NEVER had female issues in my life, never had problems getting pregnant and then this. I felt betrayed by my body, I couldn't believe I was going to lose my uterus, my babies 1st home :( I was terrified for MONTHS and your videos kept me company alot of the time
I hear you when you say that you felt like your body betrayed you. I had a hysterectomy including removal of my ovaries and tubes in January of 2023 because my body decided to just have a non-stop period, and nothing less invasive worked. I basically had my period for three years straight 😂, and even had to get a transfusion at one point because my hemoglobin was so low. Surgery was laparoscopic, and recovery time was six weeks. I was pretty low energy even past the six week mark, but I can honestly say that I wish I’d done it sooner! Our bodies have funny ways of getting what they want. Hope your recovery goes smoothly!

I got rid of my double sink and went to a single about four years ago and never regretted it, Bowls and pans fit! You can wash those things you hand wash every day without half the fight😊

Things are so expensive now. Days I took my dad and grandma out for dinner last weekend it was $115 for 2 pasta dished a meat dish and a tiramisu and I’m in Canada super expensive I know how you feel Kim also great cleaning motivation 🥰
Kim, for grease put a few drops of Dawn (the blue one) dish soap. Let it soak for awhile, then wash.
I wanted to say the same thing. In fact, I just had to do this with my daughter's T-shirt that had movie popcorn grease all over it. I didn't notice until I had it already washed and dried. I used the Dawn (full strength, blue ) all over it, rubbed it in, dabbed a little more. I didn't add water or anything. Dropped it into the hamper. I couldn't get to it again for 2 days. Just tossed it in with everything. Yes, extra rinse cycles were made, I should have rinsed some soap out before it went into the washer. Regardless, there were no stains when I took it out of the dryer. My friend told me this trick, that it can even work on old oil stains. So far, it's been worth trying every time I notice one.
For grease I spot treat with Dawn.

Kim, it’s the wrong time of year to start anything in the garden in your area.
The best time for herbs in your area is in a winter garden. Plant around October and harvest 2-3 months later. A winter garden would probably your best bet. Research it starting with your planting zones.

So I have never had Oreo balls or the chocolate syrup that hardens like a shell would that be easier to squirt or drizzle it on but I also don't know if it would melt as it sat.I really like your channel. I have been watching you for years and you always put a little happy in my day!

Replacing your sink would be fairly easy. Just measure and find the right one for that space and then up underneath your sink inside the cabinet there are probably supports holding in the sink. Just release those and the silicone and all of the connections and stuff and put the new one in the same way but in reverse :)

But I will say a really good thing they do is not waste what wasn't sold that day. Anything left they do bag up in a clean trash bag and donate it to local food shelters.

When my husband gets his clothes greasy I use dawn power wash and use that as a pretreat...works like a charm! I don't throw it in the dryer until I know its out just to be safe!

Yes on the open vessel kitchen sink. We changed ours out last year. They are much cheaper on Amazon than from the big box stores. A few hours later I had the sink of my dreams. Will never go back. I LOVE bathing my toddler in it so I don’t have to bend over. 🤣

You probably know this already…… but Panera donates everything left over at close of business to local food banks, etc. Our church participated in this program. My husband and I picked up on Friday night and took back to the church to divide it between 3 different places. There would be bags of bagels, cookies, bread…everything that Panera serves.
Kim, if you have greasy things for the laundry, pour 1 cup of purple power in with your detergent, and wash, works every time. You can get purple power at Auto Zone, Advance Auto , etc, probably even Walmart.
I'm obsessed with Moe's!! Sadly they closed the only one in a 5 hr radius (I live in the Midwest) from me during covid 😢 It has the most amazing chips and queso. Sad you didn't have a good experience. Also it isn't that hard to replace a sink. We got a large tub sink to replace our 2 tub sink from costco and love it. They frequently have them on sale. Make sure you get an undermount sink since that is what your current sink is.

Try using Dawn dish soap on your grease spots, works pretty good.
Sometime try using peanut butter sandwich cookies instead of the Oreos, very good.
Hey! I have 4 generations of appliance repair folks in my family. Refrigerators have brakes that you have to loosen up that allow you to roll the unit easily. Mine are visible when I pull the toe kick off. You should also pull the toe kick off and vacuum underneath to clean the coils etc. Also, any vents in the back that allow air flow should be cleaned. This maintenance will make the fridge work so much better and keep costly repairs down. Should be done a few times a year.
Also, I read somewhere that you can use a bit of Dawn dish soap on grease stains. Makes sense since it’s formulated to cut grease from dishes. Have I tested it myself? No. Does it make logical sense? Yes.
I love Rosco Taco, I live in Indiana and we have had them in Avon,Mooresville, Greenwood. They have great Taco Salads.
At a sink, (1) get a heavy oil out with a light oil (3 in-one). Use the light weight oil just like it was dish soap. (2) Then use dish soap to get the light weight oil out. (3) Rinse until all dishsoap is gone. This might take awhile. Then wash normally.
You may have to use some elbow grease, but this method is sound chemically.
My chemical engineer hubby shared this information with me.
For my sourdough I just use a glass bowl with a plastic lid, the Pyrex ones, much easier to manage. I’ve left mine in the fridge untouched for months! I just add equal parts flour & water & mix until it’s the right consistency, I can’t be bothered weighing, it still works.
Kim, mix some baking soda and blue dawn to make a paste, put on grease spots, let sit over night, then wash, it will get out grease stains even if it's already been washed and dried!

I lived in Miami for 2 years in the 90's and Tres Leches cake was THE THING. They made it with milk instead of heavy cream. I am thinking that is why yours tasted better. I love a sink without the separator. Growing up in the 70's we had one side with soapy water and the other side with rinse water. I think they need to do away with the separator. Larger pieces are easier to wash that way. Your countertop is so pretty. It would be a shame to have to replace it to get that open sink. I want to try Element soon and will use your link at that time.
