Also, Marlow appears to have some level of defense against it, as we see a ring appear round her as well. Obviously, Geo has no ability to defend against magic because he has none himself.
Little details like this are what makes this series amazing.

I also noticed something:
Geo's ring appears to be spinning smoothly, which implies it's easy for Gwain to leech his life.
Marlow's ring is moving in short bursts, like a clock. THis means that her magic resistance is halting her life drain process in someway.
This makes sense, as like you said, Geo, being a Human, has no magic resistance, but Marlow does since she's Teoran

We’ve been teased that humans have a hidden talent that could cause them to be a world-scale threat if the talent is discovered. (My guess is that humans have the ability to drain magic or absorb the skills of those they kill). If the power has Geo gaining magic resistance, well... perhaps he COULD grab the bolt.
@@Hadaron maybe but my guess is that it’s the power of extreme adaptability and possible though a strash maybe can use all magic but after being given a peace by someone with magic though it has a stronger chance of extreme adaptability

Episode 4: I noticed its only the background that has dots now and that's a good change! Marlow is an interesting character as well (the definition of speed) I love the sprite fights and I love the story and turnabout of this episode even more.
