I'll never understand why most video game movies are garbage; and yet the people who make the games can make short films that are as beautiful and brilliant as this.
Travis Tomison movie reviewers are scared because video games are replacing movies as main source of entertainment. They feel VG and there reviewers are replacing them.
@@Dennis-nc3vw Not exactly. Most Video Games, quite frankly, dont translate to other media very well. Its pretty much the same as with books; different medium, different possibilities to transfer the story, and different restrictions in how one can a can not show certain plot-points. Prime Example; The Red Wedding from "The Song of Ice and Fire"/"Game of Thrones". Brilliantly executed in the books; just shy of 2 pages with very short and explicit descriptions. It wrenches your guts. But Brilliantly executed in the Series as well; after a slow buildup it plows on as an emotional train wreck for serial minutes. Two different mediums, two very different approaches to the same set piece, which worked very well in this example. Problem is to translate from one medium to another, and it seems that only very, very few directors and producers really know how to translate Video games to a Movie. Most parts of a game that make said game engaging is the game-mechanics, the interactive part. Next big thing is the story, which also quite frequently can't be translated to movies one by one, as Videogame-Storys can lend quite a bit from books by, for example, presenting you a diary, a report or something else that you can just pick up in game and read for yourself. And, last but not least, Video games have cut scenes, lending from Movies and utilizing this tool to get the story around to the audience. From all of this, Movies have only... well, cut scenes. Extend an action-scene to the extend of your average FPS level, and the audience will roll theire eyes so hard that you need an ophthalmologist on standby for the test-screening. Give in-detail-story-narration as a Audio book and the Audience will fall asleep less than halfway trough. All this needs to be tailored and translated. And quite frankly, the only Movie I ever saw pulling this of reasonably good was "Silent Hill", and even that was a hit mostly with the people that actually liked the Silent Hill series and horror-fans... which both have quite some common ground. And even that Movie has some issues that might rub both fans of the game and fans of horror the wrong way.
He was saying the exact same thing Alex said to Pries Morgan word for word almost "it doesn't matter how many idiots (Alex said lemmings) you get out there on the streets begging to have there limbs (Alex said guns) taken away from them. We will not relinquish them. Do you understand" they only changed two of his words.
Plus it was also basically the same background Alex Jones had in all his videos. God, I miss that man. He was completely off his rocker, but damned if it wasn't amazing entertainment. xD
You'll really trip when you find out the vaxxed have technology injected into them via graphene. Which is rumored to be controlled by radio like 5G. So when all your vaxxed neighbors go crazy and start acting like zombies the media will demand they be segregated to protect the unvaxxed.
At first I called Bullshit on the whole segregating people with robot limbs thing, but now i actually by it. Also amazing trailer ruined by Day one DLC bullshit.
Humanity has a long history of segregating it's own; often with government involvement. During WW2, Japanese internment camps were done by executive order. Fear is a pretty good way to make people do pretty immoral things.
By this logic we might as well let all the criminals out of jail then since prison is pretty much to segregate the criminals from the productive criminals of society.
Damn this is so fucking awesome, can't wait to see how this plays into the deeper world of Deus Ex, how the events in this game led to the events of the first game, the history of augmented people and the shift to accepting nanotechnology on a large scale.
I've watched this trailer so many times and have been able to draw that thr vaccine passport segregation is word for word goijg to play out the way this trailer shows us the future of augmented
The thing that made this trailer really stand out IMO is the fact that this could all be a real possibility in the future. Mechanical implants that assist our bodies to function already exists, and im sure theres mechanical prosthetic limbs already for the disabled. A foreshadowing of a possible future? Lets hope not :D
This happens today. But in other "style and form". Invisible war. Sorry for my english, I am from poland. Invisible war. But this video is caution for all of us. Something is coming.
i am so ready for this revolution. this trailer showed perfectly the oppression the augmented humans have been suffering through since the global cyber attack in the last game. its all spiraled out of control and through the fear of the people of the world the government uses the fear to take control. no one is safe. either side, whether aug or human, mankind is divided. august cant come any sooner. anyone notice they release these games in august? because of the first three letters spells aug? "augment". cool little tidbit i noticed.
Yes, in the story, it is most likely a chaos exploited by the Illuminati in order to tighten control, while secretly preparing the next wave of societal and technological programming (that is, nanobots and deeper genetic design).
I reeeeaaaaly hope the next one will be an HD remake of Deus Ex. The first one is still the pinnacle of the series and deserves a new audience. Yes, I asked for this.
they have a point I mean the augmented just went ballistic and tried to kill a whole bunch of people, I think you would be pretty fucking reasonable to separate us from them
This is great, if they implement this into the game the right way (Like in human revolution), this would make an extremely awesome story to follow. Now we also need the gameplay to be great :D
You deserve way more likes man Deus Ex was prophetic this is the future we're heading towards only instead of Augs its vaxxys and non vaxed. God bless man stay safe.
Really looking forward to this game. It sucks that No Man's Sky is getting delayed to August now. I was hoping for more space between the two games to work through some star systems in NMS before DE:MD came out.
I'll never understand why most video game movies are garbage; and yet the people who make the games can make short films that are as beautiful and brilliant as this.
Preach.
Travis Tomison movie reviewers are scared because video games are replacing movies as main source of entertainment. They feel VG and there reviewers are replacing them.
@@460mas What do you mean "are replacing"? The biggest entertainment industry in the world is the video game industry.
Probably because people don't make game movies based on whether the game has a good story, just on whether it's popular.

And here I am in 2021, hoping we do get to see the end to Adam's fight someday.
@Dystopic aura hmmm.
and here I am in 2023, hoping that hate and suspiciousness wouldn't drive people in real life :( that it would just be another trailer to DE
2016: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
2077: Cyberpunk 2077
Do you really think that cyberpunk will be released in 2077? 😑...
thumbs up if you're reading this in 2077
Matthew Cibor
don't believe the rumor that it will come out in 2017..actually 2077 is the release date
Nope; 2078. Damn!
Go home, M'aiq! You're drunk!
So basically the government has issued a free mandatory Windows 10 upgrade for all prosthetics.
SIIIIIIIIIICK
lol
savage
Don't forget that people can now update on the most unexpected times.
yhea but it got hacked
This is world building at it's finest, can't wait for Mankind Divided!!
Let's go Adam J!!!
Wow, this actually made me emotional. Well done. I just hope the game can deliver a similar kind of emotion in its story.
2:19
I totally thought it was Alex Jones for a moment. Y'know, the conspiracy nut?...
...
No, it would make way too much sense.
It basically was. DE is themed on conspiracies.
I totally noticed that as well!
He was saying the exact same thing Alex said to Pries Morgan word for word almost "it doesn't matter how many idiots (Alex said lemmings) you get out there on the streets begging to have there limbs (Alex said guns) taken away from them. Krombopulous Michael he is still out there.
Please make a TV series out of this.
... or wait 15-20 years and this will happen in real life.
Yeah waste more money on live action bullshit
@@MankindDiary well, it's happening
Wow, this would make a hell of a Movie also. For those who are not gamers like us! Can't wait to play this :)
Sadly movies based on games tend to suck hard :(
+ElephantWeasel I'd love a movie of Deus Ex
+Kenneth Larsen I think if it was just the premiss of the game rather than an actual movie based on the game it might not suck that bad
Dude, i thought this was a movie when i was watching this. It would be truly amazing!
+Hangout Hut For sure yes, they need to follow the game's story not fully though just the best parts
also which one would be movie'd if so?
Augmented Lives Matter
You will pay in blood
And augs will pay the iron price!
And sometimes, silicon.
Also lots of plastic.
In exchange for Neuropozyne.
Fuck that the augmented would not want anything to do with lives matter bullshit
What is mechanically augmented may never die. But rises again, more augmented.
Speechless... So good. Looks like a trailer for a fantastic move. One of the best live action game trailers I have ever seen.
Well, the best live-action trailer I have ever seen.
1:56 That's one messed up antidepressant ad. Actually, it reminds me of a funeral insurance service in Brazil.
I think this game has such a powerful message, I'm gonna play the shit out of this
that asian news reporter was acting so badly ahahha
haha so true. Completely messed up the serious tone of the trailer.
So were the husband and wife, but I still enjoyed the video.
Picus gone all Fox News.
wot, they were pretty ok...
she sucked lmao
I wish that was a trailer for a tv show or a movie. It looks really good!
What I love the most about this franchise is how it sparks philosophical debates in its comments. How many other games can do this?
This trailer is a masterpiece.
0:34 wait, that looks familiar
Hahahahahaa!
And the vaccine is called Ambrosia
AstraZeneca :D
(⊙_⊙)
K
Damn did this trailer give me the chills the very first time I saw it! Great work, Square!
How did we get here? Mankind truly divided on vaccination.
Vaxxed vs unvax.
You'll really trip when you find out the vaxxed have technology injected into them via graphene. Which is rumored to be controlled by radio like 5G. So when all your vaxxed neighbors go crazy and start acting like zombies the media will demand they be segregated to protect the unvaxxed.

this game is going to be amazing. human revolution was such a great game....
Lmao ikr
segregation is wrong, end of Story!
... are you saying continents existing and allowing humanity to not be in racial conflicts at all times ... is a bad thing?
By this logic we might as well let all the criminals out of jail then since prison is pretty much to segregate the criminals from the productive criminals of society.
hope this game is at E3, I want to see more of it.
It's releasing in August of this year.
If only this were a movie
goddamnit, seems like is should copypaste this under every 2nd comment. Surrogates is the movie, the idea is almost the same.
+James Sunderland I wasn't a big fan of surrogates, this seems way more interesting.
+James Sunderland That's not even the same thing, one is augmented limbs and the other is fucking full blown androids.
That main couple shown in this video better be npcs in the game otherwise that is just sad.
Damn this is so fucking awesome, can't wait to see how this plays into the deeper world of Deus Ex, how the events in this game led to the events of the first game, the history of augmented people and the shift to accepting nanotechnology on a large scale.
Daaaaamn that actually gave me goosebumps
This is one of the best trailers ever made.
And here i sit in the Vaccine Apartheid.
For those who are new to deus ex, play Human Revolution. Great way to get the idea on how mankind divided plot is set
We need artistic properties like Deus Ex to keep the conversation alive. Thanks Eidos. Gaming has a bright future.
I would love to watch this movie one day.
The premisse reminds me of Ghost in the Shell or Neuromancer.Man we need a good Cyberpunk movie or tv series.
2021. The Vaccinated Apartheid :-(
A possible future for mankind.
Seems like it.
if it makes a movie by this game, it can go to academy award
These life action trainers are the single best part of the game. Amazing.
Yo they be making some badass trailers
Man that was amazing. Almost shed a tear there.
This is gonna be one hell of a game...so excited
Usually I hate LA trailers but this one... wow. Very well done indeed
I would 100% watch this if it was a movie. I’m pretty sure that most people would agree.
I watched this after watching the Mighty No 9 Trailer.
Ya sometimes advertisements are awesome.
Every year; look at all these great looking games I cannot afford!
I am so hyped right now for this game. Can not wait for August 23rd
3:06 we lost out dreams, our innocence, our humanity
Cyberpunk should've been this....
Fuck robots I hope there is a pro human side in the game
Spoiler alert: everyone is human, that's the underlying theme of the game.
Their not robots
+Fastwinstondoom well want I meant was half robots
#cantkillprogress
Lol, you are an idiot aren't you? They are human with prosthetics. It's just that the prosthetics are very advanced.
Ever since playing Deus Ex original was waiting for such Hollywood. 😎
this theme is becoming more prevalent in our entrainment media. usually, when that happens, things become a reality..
That hilarious Alex Jones reference at 1:35 though
So pumped for cyber punk games like this and Cyberpunk 2077
Deus ex and Dishonored 2, goty 2016 no excuse
I think you forgot Uncharted came out. And final Fantasy 15 is coming out
but I agreed with you mr.mjhartonto01 dishonored and deus ex it's great
Agreed. These are the only games I'm really looking forward to this year.
Haven't even played them yet and they're already GOTY with no excuse?
+Thomas Parsley this 2 game they great ,you should play it, this 2 game it's have a great story and more way you can do in the games.
Minus the C list acting, that was pretty cool.
Can't wait to play this but this would be a great movie
Of course they filmed this in Vancouver City 😏 That last scene showed the building where I rented out an apartment for some time on Richards Street.
I would love to see this into a TV series. . . Come on Netflix what are you waiting for!
why the fuck would you chop off your own goddamn arm for a shiny metal one XD
other than that, this looks dope af
augmentation ? release date august 23 ? get it?? :P
