Used to bodysurfin Swamis and D Street in the Encinitas, CA area, I hit Sandy Beach and after 3 short rides, got bent double and ended up in the ER at Tripler AMC… Be flexible and be ready for sand burns!

We never went to Sandy beach- my folks that is, always Makapuu. Better body surfing, Sandy was that gnarly shorebreak. So now they call a Boogie a Body Board, back in my day it was just that- a board- ha-ha. Or a short knee board.

Lo unico q aun en el mundo hay chicos que nesecitan apoyo en el bodyboard yo por ejemplo yo necesito un bodyboard el mio ya no funciona mis pataletas todavia me aguantan pero la cuestion es que hay personas que nesecitan un empujon en el deporte. yo si tuviera la oportunidad de viajar a buscar gente que necesite apoyo para asi que tengamos mas gente y futuro para el bodyboard ... yo soy de Guatemala y quisieramos conseguir ayuda y espero que aya alguien que nos ayude algun día ..😦😕😕😕

I went to school there and didn’t have a car. It was easier to carry my bodyboard on the bus or on a scooter than a surfboard, so I stuck with bodyboarding.
