I grew up in Toledo and watched those Toledo University basketball teams as a boy in the 60's. Brisker played with Steve Mix who graduated in 1968 and later played with Julius Irving on the Philadelphia 76ers. I remember Brisker. He didn't do all that fighting when he played for Toledo. Guess he was saving it for the pros. I remember when he went missing and all the crazy stories that were circulating. I always wondered what happened to him. I am surprised but pleased you did this video about him. He was a popular player at Toledo but in those days players from small schools like Toledo didn't get much national attention. I idolized the players on those 60's Toledo teams and ended up playing for them myself in the mid 70's. He went missing at about the same time I was graduating from UT as it is now called. Nice, informative video. Well done.

Absolutely loved this video. I've watched it several times. I'm from Toledo and am a huge fan of Rockets basketball, but I don't remember Brisker and never heard of him until I watched this video. I was 5-6 years old when he was a star for the University of Toledo basketball team. I heard of a couple of black players getting into it with head coach Bob Nichols and getting kicked off the team because they weren't going to class. That caused a huge uproar in the African American community not far from the campus, feeling Nichols was being unfair to these players. I don't know if John Brisker was one of those players or not. This hindered Nichols' ability to recruit many black players from the late-1960's to the early-1980's. He was a great coach and had some outstanding teams, but not a lot of African American stars. The outcry from the community took its toll on Nichols, his family and the University of Toledo.

It has been said that Murphy had something like 17 fights during his NBA career (1970-83) and won them all, even against big men like Dale Schlueter, Swen Nater, Larry McNeill, and John Shumate.

really great work. Thanks for making this. If you tighten up the writing a bit and keep doing all the same info and video stuff you are gonna be ready for the 10 figure view counts.

Great video. The music is a little loud though, makes it difficult to hear the voice at points

Correction: John Brisker finished the 70-71 ABA season as the second leading scorer, he averaged 29.3 ppg. for the Pittsburgh Condors. Rookie Dan Issel of the Kentucky Colonels lead the ABA in 70-71 in scoring with a 29.5 ppg. avg. John was only 2 tenths of a point behind Dan. I should know, because I just bought a NMT/MT John Brisker Topps 1971 rookie card from eBay, and it mentioned that he finished second that year on the back of the card. Lol 😆

Is having so many ads a good thing? This is good content done professionally. I don’t know how RUclips works, but it seems less ads would be better. I could be wrong. Good work sir!

We have got to give our honor respect and appreciation towards the musicians team, the film teams, lighting people, photographers, the editors... and of course RUclips for the support and airspace!
However,, the storyteller is the majickal ribbon and big red bow on this gift 💝.
You voice represents the sports announcers, the street ballers smack, plus an elegance paired with the perfect balance of eloquence, keeping US connected to each detail added to the peak of the story.
Your tone is rich 🤑 your pacing is beautifully creative, yet familiar!
All together, your production has delivered to US a show worth millions of likes.
    Please,, do it again?!!
